I love visiting Skycraft. Always so many random things to pick through

Exactly! When I left I thought I had been there for one hour, and it had actually been three.

If I lived close to Skycraft I would buy a lot of components but I'm not lucky, I live very far away and the worst in another country and much worse with a government that taxes products purchased in the USA very high. I am very envious of all of you.

I'm a sucker for all sorts of LED's and LED displays. Been using them since the late seventies. Most of my career at Boeing involved LED displays and matrix. A lot of my various computer projects back then involved hex displays that were either chip on board or binary to hex converter chips with 7 seg display

They are great! It pains me to see so many LCDs and VFDs being used in consumer products where a good LED 7-segment display would be a superior solution.

I'm almost glad I don't live too close, otherwise I would probably be there all of the time.

Nice! It's helpful that there are other things to do in Orlando as well :-)

I loved Skycraft. Ever see that documentary of guys building satellites with Skycraft parts and launching them in Guyana? There's also Tedco Electronics in Port Malabar (previously Melbourne) which has similar but dustier stock.

I haven't seen the documentary (I think Skycraft does mention it on their website.) Will have to check out Tedco if I'm in Melbourne at some point.

I wish we had something like that here. Electronics stuff is hard to come by and very expensive locally (South Australia). I mostly buy stuff from China unless I want it quickly.

We're lucky (in the US) that we have a few of these places left.

Love Skycraft and the tour you gave, but annoying how the video's narration is mismatched with the visuals in most of the video. Also, an update: They've moved to a new location less than a mile away at 5021 Edgewater Dr.
