Keyboard with a built-in USB switch is awesome and completely undone by the price. Peripheral & monitor manufacturers need to start accounting for WFH significantly more than they do and this is a great step in the right direction with an absolutely unjustified price.

"No other keyboard has had KVM" because I'd say the most useful peripheral to pair it with is a monitor where you can switch displays. For my own use example, I use a UGreen KVM that also has an HDMI switch for my second monitor. I use a KVM to switch between my gaming PC and my work computer. Asides from lack of display, two USBs is like nothing in terms of how many peripherals to use. Again, for me, its the keyboard, headset, microphone, and camera (I use a separate mouse for work and gaming). So yeah, I think the best use case for this current setup is what you mentioned in terms of using an external drive to transfer files between two computers you have dedicated to work together with their own monitors.

just quick reminder, if you use it with hard drive, when you switch devices, hard drive is also disconnected and it is no recording anymore. what about transfer speed? you didn't even mentioned it, it's probably usb 2.0

i never comment , but this keyboard looks nice but is not practical. 1. who wants so many extra cables on the back of your keyboard? sure as hell not me! 2. a usb switcher or kvm using a button or macro is still better in my opinion. 3. the keyboard is nice but a wired keyboard in 2024 for 299.99 is ridiculous. A better concept would have been a wireless connection to an external switcher or KVM that you can place under your desk and use the buttons on the keyboard to swap between computers. That would be innovation.

I bought a nice 4 port USB hub with an extra button to switch between PCs for like 40 bucks. And I have not additional clutter on the desk. Don't know about this "solution".

Hard Pass - $300 for a KVM switch in a KB when I have a $25 KVM that does all of the same things with a 6 port USB hub plugged into it provides no value for the investment. I have 2 laptops with 2 monitors, a KB, Mouse, Mic, Camera, and USB to my Klipsch speakers. 1 button switches between Laptop A and Laptop B and all of the peripherals.

One of the reasons I use a KVM is because I have a work and a personal set up. Having no numpad is a killer for a work keyb for me

I can see a need for this, because I have multiple computers dedicated to different tasks, and there IS a need for an easy switching solution. There are lots of different solutions out there, but I've never seen an keyboard with a built in KVM switch before. This IS innovative, and it's well worth it for people with this exact needs. Personally, I think the $300 price point is a bit high, and maybe $200 is something that will give this keyboard more mass appeal. Then again ... this keyboard already sound like a $200 keyboard from maybe 1 - 2 years ago (my gawd, the pace of innovation in the keyboard space), so they're probably thinking that the additional KVM and convenience features are worth the additional $100. Well, that's 2 years ago, and now even $100 keyboards can sound really good.

Love the design, love the fact it works with signal RGB, I use signal so I stupidly I base my peripherals around the software, I don't need the KVM but if they kept the design with the rapid trigger I buying that asap, loving the RGB bar at the top also and the sound of the keyboard, pulse came out of nowhere and killed it

Let me cook: instead of eliminating the 5head, eliminate the RGB rail, and set a raised bar there for a functional pen rail. Even with that you could still have RGB set to diffuse through the rail and fire back at the rest of the board, which might look better and show basically no hot spots to the user while in-use. Also, don't like that that hollow bottom case. I'd rather have seen those blanks filled in with an acrylic layer so at least you have a fully enclosed case but could still see into the interior.

As my 15 year old corsair keyboard finally gave up a couple days ago. I run a KVM as I work from home and switch to my work pc. But I have enough monitors to dedicate one to the work pc and just switch the usb, keyboard and mouse.

I'm not a keyboard enthusiast but since I purchased the K8 pro with south facing key light, I've regretted. I don't see the characters at night, despite having backlight! Shine through keycaps that have characters printed on the lower side of the keycap face are incredibly difficult to find.

Logitech has done usb switch a long time ago, with the mx series between 3 profiles + software support to freely move between each pc without needing to press the keys. It also works on both mac and windows so I dont see the big advantage of the pulsar. It's just a mechanical keyboard with a usb switch wich is way too expensive in the current market.

Kvms are awesome, in a keyboard it’s dumb. I use a kvm to switch between my work and personal machines, but I wouldn’t want it in the middle of my desk. - people who are into higher end keyboards also tend to switch them out occasionally. Now you have to also have a backup kvm if you want to switch. - some people like having a kvm for less clutter, such as having a wireless keyboard and mouse hooked up to two systems. But now I need at minimum two wires coming out of my keyboard. That’s more annoying, especially if your two devices aren’t located in a way that’s easy to route those two cables together

This product is extremely overpriced for adding a small functionality that you can solve with through other gadgets (usb switchers). Also calling it a KVM switch as those are more expensive, to take into account various bandwidth requirements for monitors/games, is either misleading or malpractice from a reviewer of your credibility. Again, not sure if this keyboard is worth the price or the hype that you keep portraying.

Sorry but I have Logitech mx keys and it basically does the same thing so idk what’s “new”? You plug in the wireless ports and then it lets you change which wireless port to connect to i.e lets you connect to a max of 3 pcs if you wanted to, the Logitech mouse does the same thing. So please correct me if I’m wrong or misunderstand the difference but this isn’t a new feature.

@randomfrankp no, but I'd have both pcs connected to my interface at the same time, so there's the headphones being connected to both pcs and connect a hard drive Dock to both pcs which solves that. If someone can afford two pcs then they can afford an interface and a drive dock, meaning this is a cool concept, but I don't see the need for this keyboard personally. The only reason it'd be useful is If it was a cheap alternative, which it isn't, but I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on it as I might still be missing something.

I do like it, but it's a bit overpriced. Also not yet available in the EU (Netherlands over here). Other color options would be nice, shinethrough keycaps (for the letters/numbers i mean, not the whole key), at least 100/150 dollars cheaper, and then we are talking 🙂 The keyboard does sound good btw.

Regardless of whether this should be called AVM or not. The tech is interesting, but I don´t know if it´s worth $300 bucks. I have three wireless keyboards that can pair via bluetooth with three different devices. Plus both of my laptops have bluetooth, so I can already switch between computers on my keyboard with the press of a key. Plus I didn´t like the fact that you can´t remove the bottom case foam (well you can, but it´s gonna be messy) for those of us that want a ¨clackier¨ sound profile. I would pay $150 bucks for this board, but not $300!

I’m have two Mac’s and an iPad Pro this would be great for this. Also I work as a tech so I am consistently having to use my laptop and two others for troubleshooting or building a windows machine. This would be clutch. Also we have pos systems and off/mdf racks you need to have a small keyboard to do things this would be excellent $300 shut up and take my money

This keyboard sounds good but not a great value. It is so similar to my RK84 keyboard with the usb hub and device switching, but at 5x the price. The usb hub of my keyboard does not switch with device as only one wired device (2 additional wireless), but that is not my use case anyways. After changing the switches and key caps, my RK84 build was still much cheaper than this. No mention if this has macro support, which the RK84 does. My keyboard has been a great value as it works with PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile, so I use it at home and at work. Additionally, the RK84 is wired and wireless.
