Lets solder it on camera! Easier said than done :)
In this video, I learned I capable doing either one of the following at any given time:
-soldering the actual work
-talking about what am I doing
-framing the camera shot
Oh well :)
Found the kit in ICStation!
www.icstation.com/txrx-channel...
There is still discount code active on ICStation (15%) - use code Ranics
Please subscribe for more random electronics related stuff, and remember to like and share the video!

This kit shows how easy to use today electronics are. Transmitter without any inductors, just a chip and an antenna. Can't beat that simplicity.

True. That's what it looks like when you use bespoke integrated circuits. All the RF circuitry is inside those ICs

Thanks for finding out who sent you the kit,and the price ,is good too ,if you ever talk to them maybe they can explain why no paper work with there kits ,a schematic would have been nice or directions but I thank you for getting your fans the info,I look forward to more videos from you.

You made the smd soldering look easy and the real secret ingredient is lots of flux! I need a magnifier for the small stuff so can't imagine doing it from behind a camera screen!

Great work, dude! 😃 Do you have any idea of what to do with it? If not, take a look at the little hovercraft I made a few time ago (it's on my channel). I made it with depron (a kind of foam board) and there's a link in the description of the plans I made. Even if you don't want to make a hovercraft, maybe it can give you some ideas. 😊

Plastic spacer was probably to set the height of the LED off of the board.

Hi Chris, that's a nice kit, I would love to see a joystick version with proportional control, that would be very useful, As for the soldering/talking/filming skills, I would give you a solid 8 out of 10 (nearly a 9.....but must try harder!) I must admit that I have never tried this myself and would probably screw it right up..... especially with smd's involved I like the 'sole the ring', much better than the American 'soddering'

Oh, btw. Just jump into smd and practice. It's much easier than one might think!

It's a shame that people can't order that kit you built ,and did a great job on ,it odd they wouldn't want credit for that kit ,and make it available ?

(6:15) - Wot no washers? I am outraged !!! ...and I loved this channel so much. Suicide is painless. It's also very stupid. Please, next time use some washers. "No washers" is "No excuse" Y'Getme? Good! Phew! That was a close one. xxx

Thanks! The description says it runs on 2.4 GHz. Would be great to know what chips they use, surely amazing that you can build a 2.4 GHz system without any discrete RF components, PCB antenna straight out of the chip.
@randomtronic
@randomtronic 5 жыл бұрын
I think the 2.4 is just a name, I doubt this is in the microwave territory. Crystals were 12MHz...
@superdau
@superdau 5 жыл бұрын
randomtronic It could still be a 2.4GHz transmitter. The 12MHz crystal is most likely just for the logic. Almost all of those chips have an internal RF oscillator. Check wifi or bluetooth modules for example. You will only find crystals in the tens of MHz region on them as well. Btw. you could try if it influences connection quality of a nearby wifi when close. I doubt this chip will just send on a narrow band, but "jam" all over the place.

Interesting, thanks! I will check it out. I guess I could also scope around, and if it shows nothing, then it would be above bandwidth of my 25MHz Owon. Otherwise, there should be a 12MHz carrier on antenna.
