Great Video mate, Mitch always showing the skills of a top operator. Randwick always confused me with trucks the used for collection.

Randwick certainly is collected a bit strange, the other eastern suburb councils still use rear loaders for collections, but not in Randwick. Some area's are just better suited to a rear loader, a Dennis Olympus with Terberg fully automatic lifters would be a good option if auto lifters were allowed.

Nice to see this same truck in last year in the previous video and Mitch should be super careful with these bins cause like when he picks up those bins it can accidentally fall to the hopper or it can drop some bottles and papers in the path or the road it is a little bit strange with this truck cause of the arm and also glad to see Mitch working in Randwick and skilled operator man and he looks nice man and also nice footage

Thanks mate, this truck didn't drop any bins into the hopper on that day, but had a glitch with the arm which caused it to sometimes stop mid cycle.

Maybe he supposed to fix his SLO44 truck that’s why it does do the glitch with the arm

I swear that first clip dragged on forever, like could I have taken any longer to do that small line-up in the dead end?! Clearly a different kind of Mitch driving this truck, kind of feel a bit incompetent back then watching this video lol How about the bin lid stand I left at 4:40... last time I left one of those was in Ryde Alex's Baulko Recycle GenV video... even that tore me apart :P Was waiting for that lift at 9:05, not as bad as I remember it to be but. Heads up @ 10:48 mate haha Recall it was electronic dramas galore with that truck that day, one of those days I had no trust in the truck whatsoever. Spotted a few times the grabbers were unresponsive and the slow lifter raise as if the bin had 15t inside it, not fun these things when the system starts playing up :/

You did a bit of reversing, was surprised a bit myself, isn't that what the reach is for, haha. I learned not long ago that you aren't a fan of doing bin lid stands, I had my go pro on a recycling truck last week and got at least 5 or 6 I reckon. I think you had the mechanic out too to look at the truck about the arm but I didn't think he was really able to do anything about it until it went back to Lucas Heights for a service. Must really suck having trucks with electronics problems, although they are pretty good, when they much up they muck up big time. I think this truck had the left hand suspension seat not working either, another thing to make it less comfortable. Even back in 2014 these trucks were rooted, just a real lack or being well looked after, can't imagine how back they would be now, would be awful. Funny how I use to say Brisbane had poor maintenance with the last fleet, yet even the current 2010 fleet which is younger than Randwicks fleet and is a lot better maintained. We also have the new trucks arriving now ready to replace the current Brisbane trucks in the middle of the year and Randwick meanwhile still have the same old trucks, who would have thought that!
