(the truck chassis costs most of that from Ford) Its a 7K bike to start with. Only thing is I think he should have used the 500s. Given the cost of the bodywork the difference in bike cost is minimal.

I put off watching this episode for so, so long, until I read a comment on another JLG video where the guest was super boring. The commenter said something like - "need to go watch Randy Grubb and his Decopods to reverse the effect" of the other guest. Randy's hilarious. Seems like one of those guys who never has a bad day (just makes lemonade out of lemons). I need more of that. Also, when I look at Randy, I can't stop picturing Will Forte. Awesome stuff, Randy!

I love his art deco influence. Would love to have him redesign a 1950's Buick special. The Car would fit his style so well. 1950's - 70's had this nice Art Deco design for Sci-fi movies. Seems like Randy Pulls a lot of inspiration from those movies. I can see some Metropolis (1927) in his style. Randy Reminds me of a character that would be in the universe of The Rocketeer (1991) Anyhow, Amazing guy making amazing art. Love it.

The Decopods are my new favorite vehicle. I especially like when Randy said that he doesn't use a computer to design these. I'm an Architectural designer and loath drawing in CAD. When I got into Architecture 50 years ago you had to be an artist to be an Architect which is good. Artists see things differently than Technicians. Sure CAD is a valuable tool if you're drawing skyscrapers but homes need the personal input of a hand drawer. Keep it up Randy!!

I get the sentiment, but hot wheels are still huge! My boy has probably 50 and counting and he's 2. He's obsessed and almost always has one in his hand. Lol

Absolutely brilliant! eccentricity is alive and well in Oregon...three cheers for these, bet they are a hoot to drive.. bike nights and meetings will never be the same.
