Wow!!!This Randy knows and plays this stuff very well.This piece of music draws some parallel with some dance beats in the Volta Region of Ghana which is very possessive.Not surprised to see him with outstretched hands on stage during performance.

@ufowalter When did Randy switch over from the 1959 SLP Plexi Marshall? The videos from the Seattle show I think he was still using them with a Marshall Power Soak and 8x12 cabinets. Seems he's got a killer Hendrix sound no matter what he plays through. I can play a lot of Hendrix stuff through my Vintage Modern Marshall and Plexi as well. Randy is the master though. As they say, he's got me beat by a country mile with how much Hendrix he knows. I love watching these videos.

The beginning of this sounds really, really good...driving fuzz, not too distorted for the riff...really really nice...I really wasn't that familiar with this song, but this guy really does do it justice...Jimi would be proud.

I saw Hendrix live at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, 1968. And later, I saw the Hansen band. IMHO, the Hansen band plays Hendrix better than Hendrix. I noticed on your site you have an Oregon City gig coming up soon. I just might be there (grin).

@Soolehca yeah - some parts are out of sync - i realized it too late. It´s a very improvised production and everybody, like the camera men and the cutter worked for free, but they made a great job and we are happy to have the show recorded , so what ;

Randy Hansen....totally authentic as usual. Whoever said this is a taped playback doesn't know a damn thing about playing a guitar. Anyone know which Marshall head model Randy is playing through here? Looks like a JCM 800, but I can't really tell.

@arnoldvld - Randy uses the fuzzface, like Jimi ; )
