So that means that somewhere in that comment section Brady is lurking around. He's probably one of those guys who is like "as a 49ers fan, Tom Brady is 100 times better than Joe Montana without a doubt."

+Brendan McCallion A player like Brady shows the American dream was/is possible. Manning was so called royalty and deserves to be in the talks with the greatest ever, but what Brady did coming from where he started makes it even more impressive. I am just thankful that I got to start watching and continue to watch two of the greatest in that position. May he continue to get the "3rd and goal" on the 1yd line. This is from a Manning fan.

The Brady-Moss duo in 07 was the greatest single season QB-WR duo of all time. 50 TD passes, 23 TD receptions. I don't think we'll ever see a QB throw 50+ TD's and 20+ to one receiver for a long time.

As a die hard Miami Dolphins fan, I could not stand Tom Brady but after this interview, I can really say that I was too quick to misjudge Tom Brady. He is one of the greatest competitors in the NFL ever, one of the greatest quarterbacks and one of the greatest leaders the game as ever seen. His expectation for greatness is unparalleled to any other. It is that expectation that he can make every throw, make every play, turn any drive, any situation into points that motivates not only him but also why you can place a C+ player on the same field and Tom elevates their game. Tom is one of the greatest competitors I have ever witnessed in the game and I am sorry for misjudging him.
@mikes3827
@mikes3827 9 жыл бұрын
Well said. Tom can give off that "gee golly" persona, very polite, says the right things, humble, etc., but over the years his teammates always comment HOW competitive he is...even in a game of ping pong. Michael Jordan was/is like that, and wanted to beat you in chess, never mind basketball. Brady's the same way. He's known for watching a LOT of film, preparation, notorious in how he takes care of his body, what he eats, etc., so he works at it, for sure. Definitely not blessed with physical talent, but he worked at it, mostly by being ultra competitive. We live in a very cynical society nowadays, and I think many ppl look at Tom, the life he lives, married to a super model, always calm, cool and collected at the podium, and they think he's fake. But it goes back to how he was raised: great family, brought up well. As a Pats fan, we're lucky to have him (much like Dolphins fans were lucky to have had Dan Marino), and we better relish him while he's still playing.
@DroThaKyyd
@DroThaKyyd 9 жыл бұрын
I completely agree. It is hard to root for Tom Brady when he kicks your teams ass almost every year twice a year. I have found that he is extremely strict on himself when it comes to taking care of his body, being in his late 30's and still slinging the ball around like a young fresh veteran quarterback. My hat goes off to him. It is easy for us to sit back and judge others, especially when they seem unstoppable. Tom came out 6th round of Michigan, odds already stacked against him and is one of the greatest "pin me into a corner and I will show you how much fight I have" stories. I hate to say it but Bledsoe going down and Brady being shoved into the starting position was probably the best thing that happened for the Pats at that time. Again, I tip my hat to Brady, hell of a competitor and quite possibly the best QB we have seen play this game thus far.
@RonLeeThatsMe
@RonLeeThatsMe 9 жыл бұрын
As a lifelong Pats fan even I have to admit that Brady's intensity and competitiveness can come off as petulant or primadonna-like, especially to those outside New England. But I feel it is what also made him into the player he is today, especially given that he's one of the least athletic quarterbacks in a changing league. The man simply loves the game and hates losing--at anything, and that's not always embraced in today's society. Mad props for showing a rival team's QB respect, and as for the Dolphins--they've got a good young QB in Tannehill and a tough defense and should be right there in contention for the AFC East next season.

That's right. Outside of having Randy Moss for 3 years, and Gronkowski was his TE now, Brady never had star-studded WRs. Far from it. With all due respect to Deion Branch, Troy Brown, David Givens, David Patton, Jabar Gaffney, etc., he never had a long-time superstar WR, but he made them all look better than they were. And when Branch, Patton signed lucrative deals with other teams, what happened? They crapped out. When Randy Moss came to New England, he set a season record for TDs. Coincidence with Brady as the QB? Nope.

I watch this interview.. and I still go and watch other rare Tom Brady's interviews & I think; how come tons of people hate on this guy? I mean, isn't it freaking obvious that he's one of the coolest guys on the NFL? Pretty humble, chill & also has some sense of humor. I mean, there's just absolutely nothing wrong you can just hold against him except for one thing >> ROOTING FOR OTHER TEAM THAN THE PATRIOTS! And most likely that's why the hate is there, because of his success and his career. The role model wife doesn't concern me at all because everybody got their tastes... But having the best winning percentage in all of football including the playoffs/ 3 SuperBowl rings/ 2 SB MVP's/ 5 AFC championships and dozen of other things that makes his Football resume is just absolutely ridiculous........ MAAAAAAN, I'd be jealous & hating too if I wasn't a patriots fan. Oh well, I guess they can hate all they want :P #Respect

I'll be honest, I like Brady, his ability as a QB is prolific, especially because of where he came from. I'm a lifelong Colts fan, and talking down on Brady just kinda comes with the turf. so I've hated the team because of the Manning-Brady rivalry, and when you think about it, Manning-haters treat Manning the same way. People will always be finding ways in which one is inferior to the other, but the way I see it, they're equals. They both have redefined what a great QB. And they have both are fantastic people off the field. As such, I truly admire what Brady is off the field. I only hate him on the field, because he's just that damn good, (and because he's knocked my team out many times :/) I can't wait to see both Manning and Brady retire, and not just because I think Luck could have free rein of the AFC, but also because their retirements will start a short countdown to two swift inductions to the Hall of Fame.

TheRenegadeChampion GREAT comment brother. As a Pats/ Brady fan, I feel the same way you do about all of it. Those childish peeps who knock either of them are just that; childish. And insecure. And jealous. Two fabulous guys we have had the honor to witness!! I watched an interview with a kicker who Brady used to room with (in college, I think). He was also a damned good NFL kicker. Anyway, he said Brady is just as he appears = not an ounce of hubris, but humble as anyone ever born, and straight-up appreciative of his opportunity to play the game. And works his ass of every friggin' day. First one to the Pats' facility, and the last one to leave - EVERY day. I think it's hilarious how peeps get MAD when Belichick says he'd never pick any other QB over Brady. I agree 100000%. So what? But they get mad anyway. Whatever. hehe.

Very cool interview. Why Tom Brady is the best - all he thinks about is being a football player. Paired with Bill Belichick, who all he thinks about is coaching football = consistent high performance - 14 consecutive years with a winning record. To be the best - you need to (a) love what you do and (b) be willing to continue to improve and get better. Even now he still has a chip on his shoulder. Yet continues to have tremendous gratitude. Many learnings to learn from.

Pats fan here...Moss was the best receiver I ever watched. Moss could effortlessly outrun anyone on the field - and catch the ball over his shoulder. His running stride was - hate to say - graceful - but its the best word for it. Wish Brady and Moss could have spent a few more years together. Moss also has a great sense of humor. He's got that Magic Johnson demeanor. And that's rare.
