Fact: The Vikings scored 31 points in all three of their meetings with the Packers that year. The difference of course was that the two regular season meetings ended with identical 34-31 scores in favor of the Packers (which was why this game was at Lambeau and not the Metrodome), while in the Wild Card game, the Vikings' defense was able to hold the Packers to only 17. This was also only the second ever playoff loss the Packers suffered at Lambeau. The first came two seasons earlier against the Michael Vick-led Falcons, who also jumped out to a three-score lead early (21-0) and eventually won 27-7. In between these two losses, the Packers won the famous "we want the ball and we're going to score" game against their old coach Mike Holmgren.

Went completely into the tank in the 2005 season, but a couple reasons why, OC Scott Linehan took the OC job in Miami. Owner Red McCombs was so cheap he wouldn't let Mike Tice hire another Coordinator. So offensive line coach Steve Loney was given the job, and he completely sucked at it. In 2005 the Vikings literally didn't have an offensive coordinator. Mike Tice eventually had to take over the play calling from Loney.

Since 98' I've been rooting for Moss to get a ring, I always took Minnesota to win in 98, 00, & 04 even when Bret joined them.. Culpepper killed it in 04' unfortunate his career fell short... salute 🫡 all Vikings Fans... BOLT FAN here I always go and watch Cromarties 109 yard TD return @ Minnesota

What’s funny about that joe buck comment is that too this day he doesn’t care what backlash he gotten from it, he meant what he felt at the time but doesn’t dwell on it and randy miss told him he doesn’t care either and they’re cool to this day
