It's only 98' but on that Lions first drive Sanders got horse-collar tackled and then Batch got lit up while sliding and none got flags. The league has sure changed, lol!

Wow, the Vikings had a great roster here. Loved Moss converting a 3rd-and-17. 24 years later and I still hold my breath whenever Barry Sanders gets the ball.

Thanks for uploading. I'm a life long Viking fan from Windsor Ontario Canada. I was at this game. I don't remember much, but I still remember Randle's sack on Batch on 4th down. That was awesome. Man, they should have won the Superbowl that year.

98 Vikings is the best team ever. They were jinxed . 15-1 , set all kinds of records. MVP QB, rookie of the year, 1300 yd rusher, 3 wrs with over 80 catches etc etc and we lost because of a chip shot fg against Atlanta. I remember watching that game in literal disbelief

A lot of things made the '98 Vikings one of the best teams ever- maybe the best year of any team that didn't win a super bowl. They were loaded with talent but I think what was the most important part was their offensive line. I don't think I've ever seen an offensive line any better. They were big strong and quick.

I feel like this season ruined Denny. He did some good things as a coach after this, but never had the same demeanor. He made a lot of excuses after the 01' debacle against the Giants and he lost his shit in the Cardinals loss.

The Vikings were a runaway express that season. And if there was ever a year when they SHOULD have won a Super Bowl, it was certainly 1998. But they underestimated the Falcons in the playoffs.
