I really cannot understand what you mean. Here he is, literally being accepted in the hall of fame for his artform. Everyone in music knows he could have been in it 2 decades ago. He has wealth and fame due to his music. He's scored for top movies and written universally acclaimed pieces across genres for 30+ years. Musicians and artists and the public universally acknowledge his genius. He has wealth, fame, respect, and acclaim. HOW does this make him UNDERRATED?!

@@Dave-lr2wo ask 100 random Americans who Randy Newman is and I guess less than 5 will know him. In Europe probably only 1. He gets this award from the industry but Joe public never really appreciated his work for what it really is .

@@pietro.c good , nice to know . An interesting anecdote is that 35 years ago , when Newman was in Belgium for concerts , Newman called the boss at the company my friend works . It was my friend who picked up the phone and he had a very short chat with him. Apparently a very friendly man ….
