The musician’s that back him in this performance speaks volumes about him. Randy Newman was born in LA and only he could show both the love and Satire on the city in this anthem to his home town. This song is a masterpiece and Randy is a national treasure.

This song is a treasure. Even though LA is in shambles right now after the pandemic (I live in Orange County) I love this song and it gives me hope for LA. What a combo! Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, JOHN FOGERTY!!! All complete with a Nicolson cameo. Glad Randy is in the Hall of Fame, much deserved after his contributions to not only rock and roll, but film music in general.
