This interpretation of the LEAD & SOLO TONE is intentionally less “muddy” than the album tone but keeps true to the classic heavy metal sound of Randy Rhoads. It’s a crunchy, scooped guitar lead great for rocking fast riffs and shredding exciting guitar solos.

Audio is a direct recorded Strat with Fender Tex-Mex Pickups. Bridge used.
My goal is not to use the exact simulations of effects, amps etc. that the artist would use, but to get closest to the tone (even using the effects in an unusual way).

I think the "muddy" part comes from the use of humbuckers. Make it a bit more. Full-er if you will.

It may be the case in the recording. My point is that I could make the patch tone sound the same (so maybe more like a humbucker), but it wouldn't sound as inspiring by itself.
