Waiting for my MXR RR from Thomann... Thanks for the video, great job! I've been working on this Crazy Train solo all week 🙂
@AndyDoveGuitar4 ай бұрын
@@Sylvain44 Thank you ever so much for watching, yeah it's such an iconic solo isn't it, much trickier than you first think in places, especially trying to triple track it, but totally worth a go when you have it down! And nice mine has been on order from PMT since it was announced, fingers crossed they arrive soon, can't wait to hear it and make plenty of videos! 🤘🎸

Love your content! To be fair, lots of guys double and triple tracked before RR. Iommi, Nugent, many others. So much great 70's hard rock / early metal, whatever it would be called now was multitracked guitars. Really needs to be heard, again! Check the into and solos in Cat Scratch Fever. Iron Man...

Thank you so much dude, really appreciate it, always been such a huge fan of Randy's playing, blows my mind he did all of this stuff over 40 years ago with so little technology, such a shame his life ended so tragically young, if only he could have had access to everything we have now, he'd be still such a game changer! 🤘🎸

Randy was definately talented in recording triple tracking ,this lesson is a very interesting topic and takes a lot of pratice, i have got good results with long delay and a short delay pedals live ,clearly randy triple tracked in the studio also im sure he used a AMS DMX on the two studio albums, i think its quite hard to get a decent Randy tone so thanks for a great lesson .

Great work Andy ! Could you show us the settings for your amp and mxr pedal? I'm interested because I used to play with a Friedman dirty shirley, a Les Paul custom shop goldtop from 1957. I bought the MXR RR distortion (great pedal). I'm not happy with my sound... sometimes it's too rich because of the modulation effects (delay, reverb), sometimes it's too messy or not saturated enough... I can't find a sound that comes close to the mix I want... It would be great if you could share your settings !
