That was really amazing to see. My Dad might have enjoyed doing this or seeing this video. He would talk about Spitfires with great fondness when I was growing up. It must have meant something to Randy to take this flight. Thanks for posting this.

Amazing they are still flying after all these Years, R.J, Mitchells son used to live in Lower Slaughter, I was lucky enough to be working on a roof while Carolyn Grace gave a stunning performance over the village, and turned over our heads. a few years later an Elderly Belgian Man was sitting next to me in a cafe in Poperinge, when a spitfire bounced over our heads, the cafe went very quite, the old man leaned over to me and said that to us is the sound of freedom !

Well done, Rob - and Good on him!! I'll bet it took about an hour to get the grin off his face! We used to do the same sort of thing, using a 2-seat Hawker Hunter, out of MCY, back about 20 years ago. Part of my routine was to strap the passenger into their operational ejector seat; they were always a bit nervous, but unstrapping them on return was always good, coz their sheer joy was palpable. We gave them a full hour of actual flying-time, so their total cockpit time was around 75 minutes - and worth ever dollar!

@@RobLittleuk Yes, I was very fortunate to work on and fly in the Hunter. Outside of the Airforce, not too many folks get to play with a jet fighter! 👍

For once I approve of your choice of music, entirely appropriate, well done. Is it compulsory to own a black lab if you fly WW2 aircraft ? Wonder what his name is ?
