Sorry, but I disagree. Dan & Shay are amazing and talented too. And they don't claim to be straight up country, they mix Country and Pop. They don't claim to be old fashioned. they claim to be themselves. And so what if that's more modern. What disgusts me is people like Taylor Swift, who completely derail from country all together, after country is what started her career, her profession. She completely derailed. She was completely country with southern twang and all, to completely pop, zero hint of country in there. I absolutely loved being able to see both Jon Pardi and Dan + Shay live this past summer, only a day apart, at a country music festival. And both were absolutely amazing in their own way.

That's a beautiful blessing to meet Randy Travis. I grew up hanging on to my Lil AM/FM radio my Daddy got me for my birthday cuz he knew I loved country music. Which he used to sing as well with Rodger Miller titled Who Shot Sam. My Daddy was Henry Jackson and I always would ask him to play Randy Travis or Hola Hola Love. I would hang on to every song they'd play an search channels for Randy Travis on that Lil radio. He still is my favorite country legend today. I met his brother Bobby once at the Carnival in Pageland SC the Watermelon Festival they hold here every year, and I asked Biddy what was Randy's favorite food? He told me I would have to say cumber sandwiches. I said oh my it's nothing like them, they are so good with a lil mayo salt an pepper. My family grew acres of cumbers, beans, watermelon and cantaloupes. I helped , work the fields an hired hands, loaded tractor an trailers an pickups of the buyers at the watermelon markets. We did hard labor, an listened to Randy Travis. Special memories Always and Forever Amen.
