Yes, happy birthday Randy. Our rifle season just ended and Big Hank escaped into the Manitoba Snow-forest with a 300 win mag souvenir aboard on opening morning. I guess I hit him high as he was just clearing a log pile quartering away. I saw him again closing day with a bad right front limp while I was grouse hunting with my Springer Spaniels. We traded down to his little buddy the second day and so ended our elk hunt.The big advantage of it all was that after driving across 2 Km of prairie pasture I backed my truck right up to little Hank to winch him in. If I had dropped Big Hank it would have been equal distance out of the forest on our backs. I love your videos. They have taught me a lot.

Happy Belated Birthday to Randy, what a way to spend one's special day, out in the mountains with good friends chasing one of God's many majestic creatures. I am happy for Beau, that is two big elk this year for him after all he has been through on the medical side. He deserves it. I know he felt bad about wounding the elk, any true sportsman would and he is as genuine as they come. I watched Corey's side to this during the Destination Elk V2 series, and heard stories on an ElkTalk podcast, so it is nice to see this side as well. I see that Adam is wearing the new Leupold sunglasses that I have seen promo'd on your other platforms. Pretty cool. Nice job Beau, bad timing on wrecking your scope. We as hunters don’t want an animal to suffer any longer than it has to. But things happen and it’s not a perfect world sometimes. Hopefully more successful hunting for the rest of the crew.

Wish more rifles where still made with iron sights. It's always nice to be able to remove a scope and still have a functioning rifle

My dad hunted out west he would bring a backup rifle, just in case had a problem. When ya drive 20 hours plus nearly non stop and pay for out of state tag doesn’t hurt have extra rifle. Yes iron sights would help out, need to practice with them too.

They looked well in excess of 200 yards. My guess is that Beau was as successful walking the shots in as he would have been with irons.
