Don’t really agree with the comments about Australia. It’s their choice to go back to Sri Lanka but making such false comments is not grate. Life you spend here is how you choose to live. There’s nothing wrong with the country.
This is is one of the best programs that explain the siutuation abroad in many countries and compare that with sri lanka. Very honest view. Like they say here, the change has to come from people first. If that happens politician will have to change. Also if People here work the same way as they do when they abroad, they can develop here too
If either the father or mother had citizenship or PR, the child get citizenship if the child is born in Sri Lanka. Agree with other statements Correction: *If the child is born in Australia*
@mikys-aus-diary6 ай бұрын
@@djstr0b3wrong! Australia has 3 streams to apply citizenship, 1) if the one of the parents is an Australian citizen, then the children become a citizen by descent and can be born overseas. This does not apply for PR holders. If the PR holder’s children were born overseas they must obtain the citizenship of the parent’s citizenship country. Child can be added to the parent’s PR visa. 2) if the child is born in Australia and one of the parent is a citizen or PR then children becomes citizens by birth. This is the evidence of citizenship process. 3) Citizen by conferral for people who migrated and lived for 4 years (one year as PR).
100% agreed with their decision. This is just from my personal experience, might be different for someone else. I lived and worked in Australia almost 6years now. As these guys mentioned life is pretty hectic over here. Most Kids who grow up here become spoiled brats and has zero respect to their parents & their efforts. Without $ you can’t do jackshit in Melbourne . Community is not that strong even though they brag about it all the time. No one really has your back. But typical Srilankan wants more “stuff” so they keep living this golden handcuff lifestyle. Packed life it is. Bless this family ❤️

ONE hot summer’s day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. “Just the things to quench my thirst,” quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “I am sure they are sour.” “IT IS EASY TO DESPISE WHAT YOU CANNOT GET.

When actors and actresses go to another country they lose the attention that they get from people. Most of them don't have any meaningful qualifications, thus end up having to do less paid repetitive jobs.
Don't tell lies about Australia. It's a very nice country to ive. You should be lucky enough to live here. Educated people can live here very comfortably.
Husband has not come to Sri Lanka in 20 years! Why would that be? There can be many reasons. The top ones are: - visa issues - money - family issues in Sri Lanka. The 3rd is very personal and I won't go into it. They probably figured out that wife can earn a decent amount here than being there. And she probably didn't get that much attention like she did in Sri Lanka. For actors and actresses that can be a big thing. Uddhika came back from Canada probably because of those reasons. So their crap about "Sri Lankan schools are better' and other nonsense are complete BS

Good discussion. SL is the best ! However, if SL has a good justice system like Australia, SL will be the bestest :-) When you go through the education system in Australia, usually children become very independent and confident :-) In Australia, if you are well educated and able to find a well paid job, life is lot easier, relaxed and can afford many things in life, even after paying tax (there are different tax brackets for the level of earning). However, some people have ended up doing 2 - 3 jobs to earn sufficient amount for living. Recently, I saw the difference between health care; it is very sad situation in SL:-( Love SL :-)
