Thank you Ranga sir. Kamboji is a ragam with a huge spectrum and scope. Amma, as always nailed it, at a age of 71, not sure if any of us would even be able to talk sweetly at that age. MS Amma is great!

Oh my God. Such a divine presentation.there are so many stalwarts rendition which is available. But MS ammas is the only one which actually makes us feel the vaikuntha. So much divinity in her voice😢😢😢tears rolling down.. there is another upload of same krithi by MS Amma in saregama carnatic page which has raga alapana and neraval , which is also really beautiful. Not just this krithi , whatever raga/ krithi she sings its just beyond perfection and words cannot explain the joy of listening to her. Thank you for the upload. And watching her video is still more satisfying. Looks like goddess🙏🙏blessed are the one who could attend her live concerts.

8 years later from this concert, I was blessed beyond rights to have her sing O Rangasayee at my wedding (one of my requests) with an elaborate 40 minute alapana preceding and the famous neraval and swarams - so spectacularly that even her guru Semmangudi Mama in attendance was beyond words that day. When she sang "bhooloka vaikuntam" all else was forgotten. She had to manage in those days without the great support of her dear Radha next to her due to health. But always more remarkable than Mami's music was her character, she was everything that you might read about her and more: humility personified, pure in in her intentions, spiritual in the most important ways, kind to all, and charity personified to those less fortunate. To write this is bringing tears to my eyes. I was not worthy of the honor in any way but at least I can share the truth about the legend for posterity...

Even though I'm much younger to her but I could have had a darshan of her in 1980 s. I could have had a chance to touch her feet. But I was not that lucky. For the construction of this tallest Temple tower of Asia, MS AMMA performed charity music concert in Mumbai and the proceeds had gone to the construction of one Tier of this edifice at Srirangam in early 1980s. She and her husband Sri T. Sadasivam are philanthrapists to the core.

MS amma always reminds me of my grandmother. She was of the same age as MS amma and was a great fan of her. She used to sing almost like her and even had a faint resemblance with her. I still remember her keeping a picture of MS amma stuck to the front cover of "Bhagavatha" which she used to read daily.

Greetings of the day. All the listeners plz notice the bhakthi rasa in MS ammas eyes and movements. Nowadays every one miss this bhakthi rasa and shows the knowledge to audience. But while MS amma sings she miss the audience and see only the respective god (here ranganathan). We can find the difference by comparing both of the singers at same time. New singers plz notice that pure bhakthi rasa. Remember bhakthi rasa is the soul of karnatic music not the knowledge and sound mimics. Thank u . Kodi pranamam Bharath ratna MS amma.
