I use a duck blind bag. Carry about 4 pistols, 3 mags for each, 500 rounds of ammo, eye and ear pro, and a small cleaning kit.

Well done! I appreciate your humor, that made the video a lot better than similar videos. The sound effects and table with your gear on it was a nice touch! I’m surprised that you don’t have thousands of subscribers, I’m sure you will soon!

Gotta get some lead-off wipes, man. You can get a serious dose of lead over the course of a day depending on what you (and the people around you) are shooting. It's best to get that off your skin ASAP.

Nice video! How did you film b roll so close and how did you edit the adding each item to the table?
@PrincipleCaliber4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks! I just used a higher focal length and IBIS, filming at 120 FPS doing a fast pass. The project is 24 FPS so it slows it down to 20% speed, it makes it look a bit smoother. The table, I stared with all items in the table and removed them one by one. Then you can splice the footage together and add whatever transition you want.

1st time gun owner. Haven’t been to the range because of covid-19 but what should I take and how should I walk in with the items?
@PrincipleCaliber4 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the community. Most ranges have their way of doing things, so a call ahead doesn't hurt. but typically the firearms need to be unloaded, and stored in a case or sleeve; some ranges require that your ammo is stored in a separate location. I always take double earpro into an indoor range, it's a lot louder, as well as eye pro. If you don't bring it they will make you rent it usually. And I take a lot of static drills. Drill that I don't have to move when doing, and I can isolate mechanics. Just make sure you follow all the safety tenants, everytime. It's easy to get complacent, and have an awesome time.

As a first time shooter, I really enjoyed your video on your range bag, but is all that gear absolutely needed ? I suppose it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. PS. any advice you can give me as a novice would be awesome. Thanks Brother.
@PrincipleCaliber4 жыл бұрын
Hey man. No, it's not all needed. You can go out there with eyes, ears, and kit and have an awesome range day. I have had range trips that were cut short or were not as productive as they could have been due to malfunctions or forgotten gear. So this setup has helped me to get the most out of my time while being safe and productive. I would tell you to be deliberate with your training. I like to find weaknesses in my disciplines and do drills tailored to fixing those. Metrics help a ton. Keeping notes and using a times is key. Good luck!
@SG-rw7rk4 жыл бұрын
@@PrincipleCaliber Thanks bro, all good advice, I'm taking classes from an awesome instructor who has an electronic range which test you with actual shoot/no shoot scenarios, but I think i'm ready for an outdoor range. Thanks again bro, look forward to watching more of your videos.

Good video. Some if the stuff I could live with out. like a staple gun. I forgot, did you mention extra batteries? I have been caught with out for my hearing protection etc. or your RMR A note pad and pen -I usually need to pass out my phone number to hot & bothered women. You may not have this problem/opportunity. I do.

Medical bag should PRIMARILY be in the car. Its fine to also have one in a range bag. I wouldn't wear one, unless going on a distant hike. This is a pet peeve of mine. Making guns sound more dangerous than they are. (The anti gunners love to make guns sound dangerous) A gun range is actually associated with less injuries than nearly any other sport. Driving your car to the range is way, way, way more hazardous than shooting. Spoken as a 30+ year emergency medical professional/Paramedic, Flight Nurse on a helicopter.
@PrincipleCaliber4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your service. I agree. We have one in the car as well. Medical kits are one of the things that Id rather have and not need it, than need and not have it.
