Nice bag man! But I always carry a Maglula uplula magazine loader, it's way faster and easier on your thumbs! Check out Sensible prepper on the subject. Since I shoot out back of the property I just throw a ammo can into the back of my Jeep with the stuff I need. It already has medical gear in it.

This was a great vid. To be honest, I carry 2 bags. One for weapons and 1 for ammo and everything else… given here in Delaware the ammo and weapons must be in separate parts of the vehicle. Also, while I don’t carry a stapler and staples, I do carry large folder clips to hold targets. My luck is I always follow someone who has hit the range provided clip(s) and I need a quick fix to get my targets attached. Lastly, I carry a speed loader (Uplula) for my mags. Time is money. Thanks again for hitting on a good subject. 👍

We spent the entire day on the range today, prolly had too much fun and did too many drills because between 5.56/223, .40, 9mm amd 12ga we went through just over 1000 rounds.... There were 2 of us shooting..... Looks like I'm going shopping tomorrow...

I'm fortunate enough to have my own shooting range on my property, it makes life nice not having to deal with bullshit range rules that prevent running drills. Only downside is sometimes you end up with a rattlesnake blocking your path on shooting and moving drills.

I recently started using surplus load bearing vests with attached mag and utility pouches as a range bags. Not saying it is the perfect setup but I am assuming that, like me, many of you have accumulated way too much surplus pouches and gear over the years and setting up a cheap vest with attached pouches as a range bag will somewhat justify the purchase of all that crap you have stored and in boxes and totes in the basement/garage/etc. Set up one vest for my 10/22 and MKII pistol. Works well on my short range (40+yards) which is behind the barn in a grove of 7 apple trees I planted 18 years ago on a downward slope. The trees offer various shooting positions without having to set up blue barrels or plywood cutouts. Have a 100+ range about 75 yards away in the cow pasture. Don't actually wear the vests, just hang them in a tree, on a fence post, or drive in a t-post and wire a hook on it. Love N-C targets but expired bulging and rusty cans of 10 year old vegetables from your food storage are fun to shoot along with your daughter's softball participation trophies from when she was in grade school. "evil gold female zombie with a bat @ 75 yards..." Yes, I did ask my daughter, who is now 22 if she wanted her trophies. She said no and gave me permission to shoot them

Some additional items Range finder for outdoor ranges zeroing pistol red dots and rifles Bino’s for seeing those holes to adjust zero and not walk down every 5 rounds Allen/torq wrenches for adjusting scope turrets, tightening scope mounts etc. (range maxx makes a screwdriver with lots of bits that cover everything with less space) Eye and ear protection for your guests. Maybe a cleaning rod for clearing barrel debris that a snake won’t fix.

As far as the bag itself...NcSTAR makes several different range bags, and I use the Competition bags which are just a few dollars more than the Small bag you're showing, but a good bit larger. I've got two of them, one set up for rifles and one for pistols. They have built in loops for several mags, among other features. Biggest problem is you can put enough stuff in them to make them really heavy, especially if you put several boxes of ammo in there. Thanks for the great content you produce!

Suggest you add a rubber dog food mat to lay firearms on to protect them from concrete benches. You should consider an uplula mag loader and a mag pouch or two for your belt.

Wish I had a range I could practice from the holster with a shot timer but the DNR doesn’t allow to pull from a holster, they also don’t allow rapid fire. Actually the outdoor nor the indoor range allow either of those training exercises. Only way I can do that is to pay $200 for 4hrs to go to a shooting even 2-3hrs from where I live. I’m trying to find a fellow gun lover that would be down for that but until then it’s dry firing in my living room. However I just put a 16” barreled AR & Glock 19 airsoft so I can set up in my years in town and train no issue. It won’t carry the recoils but it will help the muscle memory. I used to air soft all the time & it does help in CQB as well in the woods if u have a good rifle that can reach 50+ yards.

I’m brand new. I thought you’d have your firearm in the bag, too. But no. So you must have a second bag or carry box for the weapon, yes?
@MagicPrepper Жыл бұрын
Yes depending on the range. For example, I generally practice with my concealed carry pistol and my range allows me to carry it into the range and un-holster it when at the lane. But some ranges require your firearms to be in a case and inspected before entry. So I set up the bag to be independent of any of those requirements.
