It would be really interesting to see the chronograph data while using 2400. Maybe a part 3 of this video?!

Big Dummy.. hey dude, I haven't tried the "Shooters World" powder as of yet, I have been watching on KZbin and have been seeing good results from crafters that have. On a different subject, 2400 has been and will be a staple powder on my bench along with some other tried and true powders. I mainly used 2400 for silhouette handgun, however, I have used it in reduced cast bullet rifle rounds with "rolling the dice" results from one load to the other. there is an acceptance we all face as crafters, we have a need to try different powders and bullet combinations to scratch that spot that itches so to speak. anyway. (Just me) I would drop the "If you made it all the way through the video". The people that watch your channel will always watch it all the way through. just like Fortuncookie, Uncle Jim, Johnny's reloading bench, Elvis Ammo, and a host of others. we are all different and it is You mostly, the results you got, the method of madness you used, the materials you used, and how you crafted it. In my opinion, people can make a video too short. So,,, keep up the good work-Dave

Hey Dave. I've been enjoying the couple of SW Powders I've tried thus far. When I eventually get a chronograph I'll have to retest everything and see how the velocity compared to what GRT suggests and what kind of SD/ES information we can gather. Thanks for the advice👍🇺🇸👊

It's worse when one of your own friends does that crap. One of mine put a shotgun blast through a target I had just tested 9 different .22 ammo brands on, to make things worse, he wasn't pattern testing, he was just seeing how the recoil was.
@DummyRound3 жыл бұрын
Now that would make me pissy! He couldn't "test the recoil" into the berm or anything other than your nice and organized target? I bet the shot was a similar size to your 22 cal holes so it would have been hard to tell the difference. That, or it just blew a hole through the entire target lol

Good stuff, I love me some .300blk. I don't reload yet, but this is the one caliber that I never leave the brass on the ground from.😎
@DummyRound3 жыл бұрын
Thank ya sir - I love 300blk as well! This gun has never seen a factory piece of ammo. You could probably fund an entire reloading set up just by picking up brass and selling it on local groups and pages, or trade it for components. It seems like a lot to get started, but if you pick up some tools here, or die set there, you'll be on your way in no time!👊🇺🇸👍

@@DummyRound I know you're right. I need to just quit talkin about doin it and do it. My main concern is getting powder and primers honestly right now. I've actually got 1000 large rifle primers which is what I would have the least uses for as far as what I shoot, but that's all I've been able to find locally in months. I hate the thought of what it would cost me to order the stuff online.😆
@DummyRound3 жыл бұрын
@@ToolsandTargets the primers are definitely the missing piece of the puzzle these days, powder has been pretty available for the most part. Local is going to be the best way to find stuff, unless you can find a place that allows a 5k order of primers, that way the hazmat doesn't hurt do much. Same with powder, if you can get 5+lbs or an 8lb jug then the hazmat isn't quite as bad. The sites that are limiting your quantities are where it really hurts. $60 for 1k isn't a great price, but add $30 for hazmat and actual shipping costs and you're at 10c per primer - not exactly shooting for cheap, but perhaps still cheaper than factory. You could start collecting the other gear/tools while you keep an eye out for components.

@@DummyRound Yeah that's a good idea. If I can stop buying guns lone enough, I can get the gear for sure. Walked out of Rural King today with a hold on two more pistols I gotta pick up on thursday!😆

I did chrony work yesterday and SW blackout is leaving powder zombies in the barrel and case at 15gr with the 155's, I did the 230's with 700x, extremely quiet, like loud air rifle quiet, I'll send your presents today or tomorrow

13.0gr of 2400 in 300blk? I just loaded up a bunch of 357 with 2400, and I believe my lightest charge around that. 😂🤣 But I'm building full power 357s. That video next week. Listen to J. Pollard's advice on a little lighter charge of 2400. I gain a LOT of velocity between pistol and rifle, when shooting the same charge. Hopefully you'll get a chronograph from the Easter Bunny, then you won't be guessing? 😉 Good stuff D.R. 2400 is one of my favorite powders.
@DummyRound3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jerry! I'm going to load up some a little lighter and give those a shot. I don't need anything super fast, this is just my steel target plinking round. So, as long as I still have function and accuracy I will be happy! Can't wait to see your 357 project👊🇺🇸👍
