Vulcan did a beautiful job on that P, I'm a ODG type of guy but that cerakote job is very clean. For the mag issue, wrap some 1200 grid sandpaper around one mag and insert to take some of that cerakote of the inside of the grip. Do that a few times and you'll be good to go.

Good morning, Jason, OMG, I do like the custom paint work. Sorry "D" but dump the red dot sight and the unit would be as perfect as it could be,,, for a 1911 copy. Just Joking. By the way, the short or standard mag release is there as you not supposed to let you gun run dry to slide lock. Cheers, just on the magazine issue. My gunsmith has told me that there appears to be no general standardization in the 2011 platform in regard to magazines. It's a recurring issue with 2011 owners who buy "aftermarket" magazines, from his point of view. He builds custom 1911's so I kind of have to believe him. Cheers, great video, love your channel and thanks "D", Cheers

Nice that is a good looking one! And I believe Staccato used to be STI.

You are correct. Thanks for the correction.

Hello! That’s actually milled by Vulcan as well, they used a trijicon 1911 plate and front sight and it’s not done with the Staccato DUO system! Nonetheless, awesome video!

Jason- do you ride the safety with your thumb or do you shoot with your right thumb under the safety? Just curious as it looks like you shoot with it under the safety. Great stuff! I love my P and C2!

I shoot with it under.

@@thetexasgunvault Have you ever considered shooting with your thumb over it for more leverage? And you probably know this but shooting with it under can cause accidental engagement of the safety. Sorry, don’t mean to be that guy. My wife and daughter’s hands are too small and almost have to have their thumbs under the safety.

Great video. would you choose a staccato over a wilson?
