Want some in depth knowledge go look at smallarmssollutions here. He worked for Colt. My Colt LE was made early 2013. It's even on the box label. Colt can probably give you a production date by the serial number. I think CR maybe Colt Rifle but not sure.

Got 2 of em 1 91/30 the other is an M44 as far as shooting them I will take the 91/30 any day, Much like the Steyr M95s the Rifle all day long, you start messing with them Carbine styles either Nagant or Steyr by the 3rd Magazine full ya cut loose YOU KNOW you just KNOW it is time to clean it...hahahahahahaha yes the Rifles got a punch yes sir I will admit it, they are a doable pain. Them Carbines by the end of 15 rounds I am questioning the 16th. Now realize at 55 I feel it a lot more than I did at 23. When I was younger I could Carbine today though I go for the longs, well I know of some that were chopped in to handguns , NO I ain`t that brave, they do look nice if done properly, I had the stone once but at 55 I look and say nice, but just look.

The other thing I noticed on mine, is the slide release doesn't stay down. I have to hold it with my finger. Is that normal? Any suggestions? I appreciate you

It appeared that your red dot sights are sitting low on the gun that it appeared to me that you really had to slump down awkwardly to sight the gun. Maybe if you could place or sights at a higher level it would have beeen more comfortable to sight and shoot?

I owned both the .22 and .17HMR versions of this rifle. For starters, the cerekote models have a nicer, less-cheap feeling chassis. The triggers are pretty good, too. The bolts though, are poorly machined and need polishing after removing burrs. Also, the extractor needed tweaking to reliably function. I sold the .17HMR because it wasn’t very accurate, no matter the ammo. As for the .22, it’s fairly accurate and suitable for bench shooting. It’s also heavy due to the bull barrel and wouldn’t recommend it for hunting.

The trigger should be adjustable down to about 2.5lbs. About a half inch group at 50yds with match ammo is about the best it will do with original trigger and barrel. I have replaced both the trigger and barrel on mine. Now it's a competitive shooter.

And thats a shame because I realy like the design and the idea behind it. and i love Sig.

Per the manual: the sights are set at the factory for 25 meters, and using a combat hold !!! A lot of the reviewers were making the mistake of using a traditional 6 o'clock hold and shooting targets much closer than 25 meters. This would result in the shots hitting low as described.
