Once the whole thing is back together, drive it up to l'Ami Daniel (they have a rebate during the summer) and get it soaked in their rust-proofing oil. It's great and it will have time to get everywhere it needs to go during the warm summer months!

You can buy new inner fenders and light holders complete. Then you can weld them on. Actually the whole front is possible to buy new. At least in the UK.

Nice work area, plasma cutting is not always the cleanest or the most appropriate albeit it easier! Slitting disc might have been better. It’s a personal view ! but I like what you are doing here and you have the benefit of Mike the Guru nearby.

Agreed, the grinder is always better for clean cuts but gets expensive when you have a lot of material to cut!

Ear defenders when painting the chassis? I assume it was a really noisy nylon bristle paint brush? You can lessen the risk of ear damage by buying quality squirrel hair brushes y'know!
