I was at this show today. The beige Triumph Dolomite you passed with the pink teddy bear in the front passenger seat belongs to my friend. We had a rather agreeable lunch sat behind it. It was a brilliant day out. Loved every minute of it. Sorry I missed you though Geoff. I'd have come and said hello if I'd seen you.

About 24 years ago, I fell asleep sitting on a garden bench wot I designed and built myself, in that very field, as the sun went down over the Malvern Hills. 18 years before that I drove through there for the first time, on my way from over there, to down there. It’s a colloquial little bit of old English charm, inhabited by a curious mix of characters. Mixed memories then. The show looks like a great event. The Adventure Bike thing is also on this weekend. Sadly I’m missing both of them. I’ll have to make do with the very honest looking black Daimler 250 V8 Saloon I saw in Donington last night. Peace 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

🇬🇧I’ve driven a lot of cars 🚙 I’ve driven a lot of motorcycles. I took up gliding, it’s great fun and a great skill to learn and enjoy. But. To get good you need to be flying very frequently, then it gets expensive. You need to set your goals and expectations early ❤🇬🇧

yes I tried gliding and was naturally good, I kept her up using thermals for 45 mins on my first flight and then went home and worked out how much it cost to take it seriously and choose to keep my motorcycles and track days instead, but its the only why to fly as far as i'm concerned 👍

The "Tahiti Blue" TR8 on Irish plates is on what we refer to as a "ZV plate". Indicates that the car is over 30 years old and Motor (ie Road) Tax is €56 per annum - last time I looked (equiv of approx £47).

The price of classic ford Falcon in Australia is through the roof . Not just the GT's and GTHO's . Even standard 6 cyl ones are over $15000 for one requiring full restoration . I have a 1968 V8 Ford Fairmont that's worth around $60000 it cost under $3000 when it was new .

Still have my 9 TR-7's up for sale for $500.00 each Geoff. None have engines or transmissions. Rust free rolling shells ready for an electric conversion (😂👀🖕😜) ! Picked up a 61 English Ford Consol for free from one of our rural farmer customers. Same Owners since 65,71-thousand original miles. Always garaged. Actually runs (!!)Red Interior. Column Shift/Maual 3-Speed. This is MY car.... not the Bosses.... even though I used the Company Truck to move it.... this is a keeper.

My mum had that car and it kept getting stolen, I remember we came out of the cinema and it was gone in Milton Keynes. Finally though it was set on fire and my mum had to buy THE worst car that I can only remember the name "XR2". The thing was a pile of crap, I used to tell my mum to drop me off around the corner from school it was so embarrassing.

Blimey!! My 2013 Renault Megane 1600 does 30.7 mpg. I may as well buy an old Range Rover. I did have a 1982 2 door Range Rover V8 (with a starting handle). I loved it but my wife didn't. Covid? What was that then? Give me a Defender any day.

Be careful with gliding. They get you hooked on flying cheap then it will cost a fortune learning to fly powered aircraft.

I know a few people in the gliding world (I've flown myself) and non are interested in powered flight and I haven't personally heard of an instance that you mention ware people are encouraged to take up powered flight, people just naturally progress into it if that's what they want and some hobby's are expensive.
