In G-Shocks I usually prefer Tough Solar + MultiBand6 (currently even wearing my 9400) while I dislike the frequent charging of my Polar sport watch. So this Rangeman might fill the gap. However it also says you should never deep discharge your tough Solar watches as this can hurt the capacitor fatally. With this Rangeman I fear it could easily discharge very deeply. Do you think this is a problem or do they use a different battery (which then in the other hand wouldnt last 10+ years)? Btw. I really like your videos 👍🏻

I think so... I bought the H5600 and the battery discharge very fast 😞 I think this Rangeman will do the same...
@georgeg19477 ай бұрын
The new gpr-h1000 Rangeman doesn’t have the problem with deep discharge. The solar panel on the display works independently from the rechargeable battery that’s inside the watch. The solar panel powers ONLY the time, stopwatch, world time, timer, sunrise/sunset, moon phase and the step counter. So if you wear this watch and expose it to light and sunlight, you never ever need to charge it for using the functions that I listed above if you ALSO shut off Bluetooth. You can shut off Bluetooth by placing the watch in airplane mode. That’s it. The ONLY time that this watch will need to be charged is if you have Bluetooth turned on or if you use GPS or use any of the health and fitness features like the heart monitor and oxygen sensor. Otherwise, if all the health and fitness features are turned off and if you place the watch in airplane mode and if you wear the watch and expose it to light and sunlight, you will never ever need to recharge the watch. It will run forever on ONLY light and sunlight.

@georgeg19477 ай бұрын
The gpr-b1000 was too big and it had problems with its rotating crown that was faulty and used to fall off. And big deal if this new gpr-h1000 doesn’t have GPS tracking on the watch display. You can still use GPS tracking with this new model by looking at your smartphone. It still has GPS and you can use the GPS by looking at your smartphone. This new model has all the health and fitness features which its older gpr-b1000 predecessor didn’t have. However, it has everything else in it that the older gpr-b1000 Rangeman had in it. I don’t use any of the health and fitness features on mine, so I have all the health and fitness features turned off on my gpr-h1000 Rangeman and it works fine and never needs charging.

@@andyblue001 that’s very true. Most people have no clue how battery economical the Casio gpr-h1000 is. @@gshockhighfashionThis new Rangeman is first and foremost a G-Shock. It has some health and fitness features in it, but it’s NOT intended to be a smartwatch. I choose non Bluetooth watches. Many of the built in app features unless you actually work out like a maniac is pretty useless and a huge resource waste. Even though it's tough solar it still lacks independent charging capabilities leaving you no choice but to charge by cable. I was even disappointed at the new 9500 mudman that's supposed to be the 9400 killer. I guess each to their own.
@forsak3none9 ай бұрын
while i absoluteley love the rangeman 9400 ( have like 23 of them) this new one does not deserve the rangeman moniker..its just a reskined GBDH2000, tho as preety it may seem, this isnt its biggest problem... my main beef with this release are the shitty bioresin materials used for the bezel and strap..those will fail much much faster than the old versions..unfortunately, like with the new "mudman" casio missed yet another oportunity with an iconic master of g model with laziness in reusing old modules and the bioresin wich ist sole purpose is to make the watch dont last as much as the old ones did ....its quite sad...
@gshockhighfashion8 ай бұрын
I have the same concern about the material as well, it has not been proven to last yet unlike all those 'vintage' models. Anyway, talking about reskined, look at the watch again, there's only 2 thing that makes it a rangeman, a single piece name & a logo at the back that is removable. This rangeman seems more of an afterthought rather than something built from the ground up.
@georgeg19477 ай бұрын
The bio resin material is inferior. It’s cheap and it’s not going to last like the resin in older g-shocks. Only time will tell. This particular model is very complicated and you need to take apart the entire watch to replace the exterior bezel.
@noxnoir9826Ай бұрын
How can a g-shock fan accept a "watch" THAT REQUIRES CHARGING REGULARLY. Thats not a watch, nor does it have useful GPS function. Its handicapped smartwatch. All other G's are just better. And most of them cheaper. And tough solar. RIP Master of G Rangeman line.
@rauliflemington70455 ай бұрын
The best? The best what? This 'thing' is a disturbing departure from what a G-Shock has traditionally been. Casio would do well to review their future direction with many of their more recent G-Shock offerings. This is a convoluted wrist-worn gadget that is dependent on external devices for charging and full operation. Unlike its predecessors, its operation and functionality are frustratingly non-intuitive. The app it requires is highly problematic with appalling connectivity issues. The design lacks any elegant nuance, the dial now being akin to mere screen. The negative MIP display is slow and still less visible than a positive display. It falls short of being a smart-watch and adds nothing practical to the remit of a more traditional digital timepiece. Casio are risking the repeat custom of swathes of loyal G-Shock enthusiasts if this is a glimpse of future offerings.
@gshockhighfashion5 ай бұрын
I agree. I think they're trying to maintain their traditional way making things but also wants to modernise it as well. Trying to do both is the issue here I guess. For now, I'm gonna keep giving them chances, good or bad, I like to see how they solve it plus it is still exciting to see all the crazy idea they came up with to test the market. They also release new models every month, insane.
