Keep the slot mags on it! It looks killer. Put an LMC bed floor in it and keep it long bed. Ranger package is just below XLT. Very cool.

I love that truck. I had a 69 Ranger with a 390, automatic, A/C, PS, PB. I think mine had A/C in the dash though. Anyway, I don't remember it being under the dash like yours. Mine was baby blue with a black top on the cab. The black was a wrinkle type paint to make it look like vinyl. I got 9 miles per gallon no matter if it was empty or pulling a loaded trailer and brother, it would pull. Those trucks were bullet proof. The twin "I" beam suspension had to be attended to on a regular basis. Thankfully, I found someone that knew how to work on it and 46 years later, he's still does all of my front end work. Good luck with yours and I hope you find everything you need easily.

When my uncle Ed retired from the Texaco facility in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in '97, they gave him their snowplow truck, an '82 F250 4x4, regular cab long bed, black with red interior, front and rear sway bars, silver wheels. It has a 2-barrel 351 and 4-speed, floater rear, Sangamo tachograph, Meyer plow, orange Signal-Stat rotator light bar, and a Cobra 29 LTD CB. He took it up to his vacation cabin in Pennsylvania.

I used to have a 74 F100 Ranger I bought from my dad. Had a 360 with duel exhaust. Fell asleep one night and drove down an embankment and hit a concrete culvert. Bye bye truck. Totally trashed it and spent 6 days in the hospital lol. I miss that truck.

Nice truck. They're usually bent in the middle from cab corner/ body mount rust. Bed repair panels are very easy compared to that.

Nice, yea i'm looking at a F100 1976 with a 390 FE. Ranger shortbed, enginge locked, missing carb/aircleaner. Someone cut the electrical wire coming in to engine bay for scrap. Been sitting since 1995, has rust, both door corners are rusted but interior is pretty clean and intact. 60k miles. Guy wants $750 but would throw in extra hood and doors from a donar truck for $1k total. Figured thats a pretty decent deal these days. Thanks for posting, I enjoy your videos and following along your journey.

Those bumperettes on the front came off of a '73-later truck,I got mine off the truck my Mom totaled.Looks like someone got the bed light switch.And quit dragging them with the cable around the twin I-beams,alignment shops might SAY they can align them,but when they SEE that iron,they back up and say their tool isn't built for it.

68/69 had that Ranger trim. Changed in 70. Marker lights on the rear are factory. 360 cu in. Got slots on mine too.

Looks like it’s either a candidate for lowering the truck or putting in a custom wood floor. Factory ac. The heater core is no longer available for those. Sllot mags are my favorite on a bump.

I just bought a 74 f100 with a 360 and factory air. It has more rust than that one but still not bad by no means. 500 bucks. Its lived it’s life on propane Edit I posted before I saw the bed, the rust is about the same. I will weld in some flat steel plate and won’t worry about it. Of course I will treat the rust.

It is hard to tell with that top and bottom seat not matching but the black bottom porition has the fabric inserts that came on the Explorer Package trucks. I have a 1969 Ford F100 in Ranger with Explorer Package B in Tucson Gold with the 360 2 barrel and I bought it from the widow of the second owner. The wheel covers and glove box badge were the biggest give aways to those models and both are missing on your truck.The Explorer package was offered to give you a Ranger trim level at a lower price. If you get a Marty Report that will tell you more. The back rest porition of the seat is not stock for that generation. The wheel coveres that you picked up where for the next generation of truck starting in 1973 yet many people have put them on the generation of your truck.

Hello Kent I have to say I've caught a couple of your videos and I like what you're doing man it's good to see a man spending time with his son. I know back in the day me and my son used to do quite a bit of stuff together and now he's a full-blown Ford mechanic go figure right or is he would say I'm not a mechanic Dad I'm a technician. Anyhow I got to say the name George Jones and the truck is cool especially that under the dash air conditioner it was definitely made for that truck that's for sure. Now I might have an odd request for you I live in the Rust Belt in Ohio and I know you guys are quite a ways away but I saw in your video that Silverado sitting in the backyard and I can tell you I need some parts off that truck mainly the bed if it's not crunched on the other side I didn't really see, if there is any way that you could put me in touch with that person I would be very grateful as grateful as Moses was when he was so blessed by God. If you plan on driving them much it is a good Idea to pull the heads and have a valve job done. They will run on unleaded though
