Great tip on mounting the bumps! I've been dreading setting them up on my Bronco, now I feel relieved! 😄 Ranger is turning out absolutely AMAZING too!

Been watching you guys for a few years. Love the builds and the work is amazing, but I really miss the old vids where you actually showed the work and not just showing a walk around of the finished product. Maybe try and work more of the actual fab work back I to the videos

This has been a popular request lately and definitely something I would like to reintegrate. It is difficult since I am out of town and only home on weekends when we film these videos!

Second time watching today now that the audio got fixed! Would be cool if Christian recorded some short clips (enough to not slow down progress too much) while working.

You probably answered this question before but did either of you go to a welding/ fabrication school or did you learn all these skills on your own? This channel rocks! 🤟

Maybe I’m wrong but I would use piece of rubber between fuel tank and plate holding it. When sand gets there, it will scratch both metal parts. It happens in my atv between frame and aluminium guard.

Do bump stops fail/break on extreme impact when landing big jumps?
@mitchellrobinson9810 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely loving this series 👌🏻👌🏻, just a suggestion, we run through delrin pads all the time in our race trucks, they fall out mid race every now and then also, it’s a safe bet to add another plate on top of the bump pad (3mm or so) just so if it happens the shocks don’t completely bottom out Completely understand it’s a prerunner though and when you hear the delrin come out you’d probably stop straight away, it’s just an extra safety 🤷🏼♂️

I could be wrong, but I believe the other option to going to a 1 1/4” sway bar would be to have this one turned down in the middle to soften it up. I think Swayaway does this.
@WingsWorldChannel Жыл бұрын
You could have them drilled, but it would be more effective to change the OD of the bar in order to change the rate. Drilling the center does change the rate slightly but is mostly for weight purposes from my knowledge.
@ShowMeThePony Жыл бұрын
@@WingsWorldChannel what I meant was turning the middle of the bar to reduce the OD of the bar to soften it up. Not drill holes in it. That way you retain the 1 1/2” splines for the strength and so they don’t strip out like 1” & 1 1/4 arms tend to do. This allows you to fine tune the bar to match up to the length of arms you’re running and the weight of the truck. Obviously a 1 1/2” bar on a 21” arm on a trophy truck would require a stiffer bar than the same bar on a Ranger with a 14” arm. Hope that makes sense?
@MyLonewolf25 Жыл бұрын
@@ShowMeThePony id be worried about creating stress risers when doing that. you really need a consistent od on torsion bars. id bet it would concentrate the stresses where you turn it down
@ShowMeThePony Жыл бұрын
@@MyLonewolf25 Regular sway bars like you get from Kartek are not 1 1/2” all the way across. They taper down to 1 1/4”. I’m just not sure if you can have them turned down more or if you need to order them custom if you need it smaller than that. Main point here is that they can keep the arms they already made and just fine tune with the bar only. Edit: you can turn them down yourself on chromoly bars. Not sure about 300M but I wouldn’t see why not.
