Ranger Raptor vs Hilux GR Sport vs Ineos Quartermaster - Ultimate Double-Cab Comparison!

The decision on South Africa's ultimate double-cab bakkie is certainly no easy task and could be debated for hours around the braai. In this video, presented by Jacob Moshokoa, we compare the Toyota GR Sport with the Ford Ranger Raptor and the new Ineos Quartermaster.
We conducted tests on the pick-up trucks at the Gerotek testing facility, where we navigated a range of terrains, including a proper off-road course, a mountain pass, a skid pan, and a high-speed oval. Additionally, we placed the ultimate double-cab models side by side to compare their infotainment systems, interior layouts, and rear seat space.

@ YES. The Raptor won the comparison before the actual comparison started. Hilux and Ineos were just there to legitimize the biasness. We never understood the criteria used to gauge who is best, he came out, do the marketing and told us which one he prefers, how was that even fair? is the off-roading, esthetics & comfort or engine output?. he kept whining about the outdated Hilux interior but the issue should be the functionality of it not the manufacture date. wa lapisa di broer. I normaly compare the Hilux to CR7 and Ford to Messi. The other one is media favourite and the other not so much but keep on putting out great numbers. Toyota does not complicate a car that is simple hence the reliability aspect of it. Ford is chasing trends and who are better placed to market the trends=Car journalist. The only bakkie that will always be better than a Hilux, according to me, is the Original Amarok V6(not Ranger version). Anything else, is just a smear campaign against the Hilux.

The Ranger is the only car I would buy here .As a bakkie it makes sense can’t touch the reliability the service and ease of ownership .A a bakkie does not need a gas guzzling v6 engine .The Ford i would not touch as you will be in the workshop very soon once you have driven out of the Showroom.The grenadier is a awesome car I’ve driven it I really enjoyed it .

I'd get the Hilux, because it is a peace of mind vehicle, tried and tested. The Raptor is nice to look at, to drive as well I'd imagine but I'm hearing ownership is a headache like many Fords. I hate the Ineos, simply because of its looks and especially the lack of driver information display behind the steering wheel.

Ineos can be ordered with the B57 diesel twin turbo 183kw/550nm or B58 petrol single turbo 210kw/450nm both are straight 6 ..seeing that's the Trailmaster ..front and rear disc,front and rear lockers,Auxiliary battery under the back seat ,tow bar kit ,All those switches are wired up ,you just pick up the connector ,play and plug no drilling no wiring,no paying auto elecs. Air intake no going to ARB getting your guard drilled ,Recaro seats front and back would say that would be over the $10,000 aud standard .. This car is a different Animal,that's why its priced like that.

I doubt Ineos would sell, if they roll out even 100 of these cars in a month I’d be surprised when there’s a 4.5L V8 Land Cruiser for +R700 000 less, you could go as far as buying a new LC79 and a new Hilux club cab for all that money… ridiculous pricing, X class was far less than this and in the Bakkie segment it fell short because of pricing and practically getting the same car in a Navara. They should go back to the drawing boards and price it differently, even then it’ll be a tough game because still, an LC79 is tough competition.

Do you know that you cannot just build a custom frame onto the new Ranger's load bay without including an optional extra that strengthens the frame of the load bay? Otherwise some areas in the load bay or load-bay "walls" may crack. Yea... Mention this the next time you put a Ranger up on review. Ford does not mention this to anyone, unless you are a farmer who is lucky enough to buy from a salesman who knows about this, and plans to build his own custom frame onto the back, as many do. Ford, build "not so" tough any more.

Omg!!! The grenadier designers obviously didn't have enough time to design ANYTHING!!
