Ranger Spring Tower Replacement & Frame Repair

I bought this 30 year old Ranger a couple months ago as a project and my main means of transportation. I've been doing a lot of repairs like brakes, timing belt, etc. While I was under the truck I noticed there was something going on with the right spring/shock tower. I found a replacement spring tower online but could not find a video of someone replacing the tower on a Ranger so I thought I would make one. Hats off to ATS springs, if they didn't make replacement spring towers I would have to retire the Ranger or part it out.

Great job on the rust repair, I went to replace my springs and realized my spring towers are rotted and need replaced. You did a great job It looks factory! Thanks for the video

if you Jack the truck up on the frame, and unbolt the torsion bar and shock you won’t have to compress the spring or anything. The suspension will drop low enough to pull the springs right

I was able to remove the spring after disconnecting the ball joint, the upper one I believe, and doing what you say. I bought a set of spring compressors since the video for my next project which will be replacing both springs, replacing the driver's side spring mount and replacing the broken lower shock mount on the passenger side. Spring compressors were $18.88 on eBay and would make the job easier. Thanks
