RANGER / WARLOCK Multiclass Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3

Here is an interesting but powerful RANGER / WARLOCK Multiclass Build Guide for in Baldur's Gate 3! What's nice about this combination is we can get three attacks before the fighter would get 3 attacks, and we also have some utility in combat. The ranger gets spell slots that we can actually use to cast scorching ray which is pretty nice to have. There are a few ways we can build this but I think its best to get the extra attack from Ranger and then the extra attack for Warlock and then 2 more levels warlock for wall of fire. The damage potential of this build is pretty high!
The Warlock can pair with any martial class since it can give an extra attack with pact of the blade and use charisma as the attack rolls. Let me know your thoughts on this build!

I decided to try solo Gloomstalker, but am always resistant to doing the common builds. I decided to start as GOO Warlock and *gasp* didn't take EB lol. I took Devil's Sight and Beguiling Influence and spec'd for DEX and CON, using utility spells instead of attack ones. Then GS to 5, 3 more warlock with Tome for more utility, and then finishing off with 2 fighter.

A warlock without eldritch blast!!! Wow that’s an interesting one I respect it! It’s honestly more fun to go with non-optimal builds

yeah in my experience i go Warlock because of Devil Sight and the usefulness of Repelling blast

I'm actually so glad that Rangers are good in bg3. I always wanted to play them in bg2 but they take so much exp to level up (like MAX level up, Paladin type), and they do they don't have utility or damage. Warlock ranger seems fun though, I wonder what patron they would have lore-wise?

It works well in BG3 since the attack from Ranger stacks with Warlock, and the ranger gets some spell slots to compliment the Warlock. Like we can cast scorching ray with our Ranger spell slots which gives us a bit more options, but mainly we attack 3 times and drop fireballs /fire walls

@@JasonDunna firewall is insane in some fights. Especially that one in act 2 with halsin and thaniel, wall of fire and wall of stone block all attacks at the portal

This is interesting, especially since our fiendlock companion Wyll will become a ranger after his pact with Mizora. I would not take attack spells with the ranger though, since the wisdom is not high enough and enemies most likely will make the save. I would take the utility spells on ranger and attack spells on warlock (they have the better ones anyway, apart from Spike Growth, which is one of my favourite crod control spells)

Yeah taking ensnaring strike is probably not optimal but I was trying to give it a bit more of a Ranger theme, but totally agree

Take 3 levels of gloomstalker instead of 5 since it won’t stack in honor mode, and put the last 2 levels into warlock, or paladin for smite and more spell slots
