Usually I do. This one was done quickly, due to a family issues/ lack of time. So I just gave a quick over view this time.

Like thats the purpose of gels - to use them on 5600 lights... come on

Actually, you're wrong. I've used gels on many different color temps to achieve a look that I am going for. It has give me great flexibility on set. Plus, if you light it off the planking curve, you'll need the adjustment to correct. So, only be stuck at 5600K is not helpful and can actually cause more work in post/ruin your shot.
