In my opinion, this is one of the greatest triumphs in football history, yes this wasn't a champions league or a world cup but for a club who wasn't even in the first division to then go on and become the best in the country, that takes heart and courage. Hibs hadn't won the cup in 114 years and when Sunshine on Leith is sung, the sun is shining on the fans. On May 21st - 2016, we saw a literal fairytale take place. GGTTH

STOKES was sensational that day, his movement & class forced the rangers defence to hang back , coulda had a hatrick, given what was to follow. Utter dominance by Celtic,makes that display by hibs even more special. & u simply can't mention that game without the Hibs fans rendition of " sunshine on leith" it litterally brought goosebumps to me. I ,being from Glasgow & a Celtic fan was already delighted, but imo Stokes was by far the contributing factor to Hibs winning, infact they all were. Stokes just happened to be that bit better. As I said he forced them to keep enough defenders back to cover any counter, best game I've ever seen, outside Celtic 👌

Thank God we won the Cup last season now I can forget this bloody final!!... You need to remember as well that Hibs had become our Celtic at this point, over the last few seasons the rivalry had intensified and this season after the debacle of the year before it was supposed to be a straight shoot-out between the clubs for the title... it was a crazy time to be a Rangers fan, after a horrible 3 or 4 seasons being in the lower leagues, particularly the year before when we finished 3rd in the Championship behind both Hearts and Hibs, this season we had finally got promotion back to the Premier, so we went into this game on a high... we were confident and why wouldn't we be, we were Champions, we had finally won the bloody challenge cup at 4th time of asking and had just knocked Celtic out in the Semis... Hibs had finished in 3rd but when you look at their results in this season it was results against so called smaller teams that affected them, they were unbeaten against Falkirk, Livingston and St Mirren in the league and had gone 2 for 2 with us, yes, we had mauled them in the challenge cup 6.2 but in the league, they had won both Easter Road clashes. They had also reached the league cup final and in both cups beat 3 premier sides on the way to both finals including Hearts The game itself was crazy, it was back and forth but we couldn't cope with Stokes... once we went 2.1 up, I think the players and the fans thought that's it we've won the cup, but Hibs kept it up, wee McGinn was excellent, Henderson was an inspired sub and, in the end, we deserved to lose. They won it and the hoodoo was over... as much as I hate Hibs and their fans no one can deny Sunshine on Leith at the end is spinetingling even if on the day it made me feel sick!

Having just watched the incredible semi final of Aberdeen 3-3 Celtic I had flashbacks to this final as a Celtic fan I'm always so proud of our supporters and how they suck the ball into the net at times followed by incredible heart touching moments from the supporters, this game at the end I will never ever forget the hibs fans rendition of " sunshine on Leith " made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up it was truly awesome that day the hibs support.

As a Rangers fan I can say this was a thoroughly great final to watch, don't care about Rangers and Hibs fighting eachother, there's a bad element in every club, but hey, atleast the winning drought was ended against Celtic😂 (not like that's anything to be proud of).

Well said mate, why does nobody understand the facts about this new club ? If Rangers International PLC won, they weren't getting into Europe because New Clubs have to be registered for 2 - 3 years before you're eligible to play , why do Scottish media struggle to accept it ?
