The Red Wings are battling for their playoff lives but it was the Rangers who were able to come away with the victory. Chris Kreider scored what would be the game winner on the power play tying him for 2nd in most PPGs by a Ranger in team history. Jonathan Quick made 24 saves in the win, the Rangers take on the Canadiens on Sunday as their road trip continues.

Will Cuylle is going to be a menace in a few years. Can see him developing into a gritty power forward 45-50pts a season.

Happy that the team one, but they got to tighten things up in their 2nd periods. They won't ALWAYS be able to win 1st and 3rd periods in the playoffs. LGR!!!!

Liked seeing Pete play the depth guys so much. Good to see them get some ice time and flourish. Our bottom two talent is pretty top notch when they get the chance

Kreider has simply become one of the most dominant crease players. He is so patient on the doorstep. Letting his own chances marinate. A true artist.

Goodrow actually can score? Who knew with 1 goal for like 65 games. Now he has 4 for the season and hopefully that line will be a contributor in the playoffs so all the pressure doesn't fall on Artemi's line.

He was a HUGE depth piece for Tampa Bay when they went on those runs. So far he has not lived up to his contract, but we can hope that he's able to do what he did in the past

As for Miller there are time when he has the open door to shoot and doesn't and that gets me mad he has a powerful shot and we have all seen it.

I feel that this team will have the best chance at success this post season if coach: 1. Keeps Brodzinski in the lineup. 2. Despite the love for Rempe and his energy, imo he's gotta sit out. Brods is way more productive/deserves the ice time. 3. Miller/Schneider D combo moving forward. When Trouba was out, they were much more productive. Trouba has been part of some bad defensive plays lately and should be part of a shutdown unit with Gus or Jones. The 3 pairs can handle roughly the same ice time too.

1. brozinski should come in for certain matchups. same goes for rempe. get everyone playing in the playoffs. nobody sits. 2. trouba and miller statistically were better than miller schneider before trouba got hurt. there is no need to change ANYTHING right now. its about tightening up and keeping consistency. change lines mid game if you feel.

@@scuddbucket3300 I see where you're coming from and I do agree that consistency matters. I feel that I've seen better play with the Miller/Schneider defensive pairing more recently and come playoff time you need your best lineup every night. Also, teams that succeed in the playoffs have depth scoring. And since our first line hasn't been great 5 on 5, we know other teams will just match the 2nd line to shut them down. Rempe doesn't provide offense like Brods does. This guy has been putting up points lately and then takes a seat. So that's where my thoughts came from. No matter who is out there, I do agree that the defense as a whole needs to be better. We give up leads way too easily.

@@ssan08 i think miller and schneider are great dont get me wrong, but its just recency bias. and for sure we need brodzy as depth, but just like valiquette said, the big games 1+3 should go to rempe

@@scuddbucket3300 I love the energy Rempe brings. I feel that he will become a better player and maybe start to avoid some of the goon stuff as he develops. He has the potential to be a solid checking forward with some offense to his game. Appreciate the back and forth here with you this morning! Enjoy your day and LGR!

Rempe i am sure understands when his coaches tells him not to he won't and if they try they will be penalized. When he does play it's up to the referees to focus on who ever is defending the kid for the playoffs are a new season as a whole.

The Rangers haven’t been to the Stanley Cup Final since 2014 when they lost to the Kings in 5 games and haven’t won the Stanley Cup since 1994 when they beat the Canucks in 7 games, so here’s what the dream 2024 Stanley Cup Final matchup will look like: Oilers vs. Rangers
