McLean was Norwich player of the year last season. I can't see how he fits our transfer model, but we've lost a lot of experienced players and Tav and Goldson might leave as well. I suppose we need experienced players and he'd fit the bill. In that case Shankland at 29 must be an option.

After the season we had, this is who we get. FFS I don't recognise this club anymore. We used to be great, choked full of winners and great players. This is dross. More ex Norwich dross, Russell Martin, Graham Dorrans, Glen Middleton, Cantwell and now Dowell. If the well gives you cholera, you don't keep going back for another drink at the same well. This board are dire, look at what they are doing with the stadium. Handing Celtic an early advantage as well, by not being able to complete our home games.

Kenny has all the things you say and more. He will bring experience to the Squad, a Calmness when things get tough this season, and they will. No home games for at least the first month, and tighter budget this year. Unexpected Abatement costs. Hopefully all the distractions do not effect the club. Could be a tough start.

Total football. Total flexibility in 3 or 4 players is useful, and some flexibility in the rest of the squad in necessary.

Our midfield is full of 21, 22, 23 year olds, Kenny McLean would provide experience in there, knows what it takes to play up here (if you look at his time playing in the SPL you can see he's normally good for 6 or 7 goals a season from midfield) and played Premier League/ top end of Championship for the past 7 years and over 40 caps at international level, just been named Norwich PotY and is a proper Rangers man into the bargain as well as being another Scottish player in the squad meaning he'll actually relate to the fans and play for the jersey... also churned out 52 appearances last season and between 35-42 for the 5 seasons before that which is a lot more than what a Ryan Jack or Kemar Roofe offered... as long as we're not relying on him to be a starter every single game or on extortionate wages I've absolutely no problem with this type of signing considering we just got 5 30+ year olds off the books and only have 4 30+ year old outfield players in the squad currently, don't remember anyone complaining when we signed Scott Arfield who was turning 30 in a few months or a 34 year old Steven Davis, both massively improved our performance levels 👍

Sorry CJ Usually agree with you most times but I cannot accept signing a 32 year old on a 2 or3 year contract and probably having to pay £2 million for him. One season then finished and now we are paying him for 2 years sitting on the bench. McLean is one of those players that i am extremely unsure about. Sure he ticks a few boxes; Scottish, experienced and can play in a few positions BUT i don't know if he is what we need. Then again, maybe I'm being a tad snobbish in thinking "is he good enough for Rangers?" Re his age, that old adage of "if he's good enough, he's old enough" stands true but the flip side of that is also true "if he's good enough, he's young enough". All i can say is that if we do sign him then i will not pre judge him, he will get my full 100% support.

I feel like koppen can’t win with some rangers fans, when he signs young talents who are a bit raw with something to prove, fans moan about wanting players who can step into the team now, linked to Kenny McLean and fans are moaning about sell on value. It’s a complete no brainer and I hope it gets over the line.

I do t think we should be paying big bucks for s 32 yr old no matter who it is. If he came as a free transfer or a small fee because he was at the end of a contract then not a problem, for me it depends on price because I doubt we will make anything back on him down the line.

I like you CJ and I usually like your videos. However may your next 💩 be a hedgehog for this bit of dark news. Its actually heartbreaking as a fan who grew up with Iain Ferguson, Mcall, Gazza, Charlie Miller, Laudrup, Albertz, Van Bronkorst, Reyna, Barry Fergsuon, Arteta guys like that, seeing what we have become and seeing us go for the likes of Mclean. It feels like we have become Killie but in a big stadium, the sad joke is, at least they can open theirs. This board is running the club like a bowling committee. Its all a shambles. Simply the best eh. I remember when we had quality and guys who knew how to be winners. Mclean has never been a winner. He is mostly experienced, in mid table mediocrity and losing for Scotland. I miss the glory days. At this rate we will be signing Grant Hanley and Scott Mckenna next. 🤦‍♂️ This video ruined my day. I was in a good mood until then. Being a Rangers fan these days is just stress.

It will depend on fees involved .. better than Tav as captain .. and we do need an old head in the middle but is Kenny our guy ? Would forgive his first name Timi Max Elsnik make more sense on half the wages .. with no Rangers connections . Held his own against England last night .. for Slovenia . 6 years younger ..but disnae have a Rangers academy background . If i had 1.5-2m to offer up it's Elsnick for me . Just trying to out think Koppen ..😂
