I’m erislash, rank 1 Garen Eu. I thought this would be an interesting game to upload since I managed to hardcarry my team with such a simple champion in top 100 challenger. Hope you enjoy :)

In the future id love if your gameplay wasn't cut down. There's alot for us lower elo players to learn from how you handle the less interesting moments. I'm working on climbing to diamond on wild rift, could you do a vid on general item tips? Tank garen with grasp is the meta right now, and my experiments with phase rush and ad/crit have been really tough. Because the items are changing in just a week ill probably make a guide covering that topic once I’ve tested all of the new stuff :) and because I haven’t ever played wild rift Im not sure how similar the gameplay and items are 🤷‍♂️

Yea I have a few games vs Riven but none of them are good enough for a stand alone youtube video though. I need a few more Riven games before I can make a Riven match up guide, and hopefully you can learn a thing or two from that :)

Man, what the Requesite and how you manage to play and being consistent with Garen, despite having the worst possible matchup for him like Every single game? As a Garen otp ( low elo) i really want to know.

Tons of hours in this game lol :D nah but I’ve played alot of different toplaners and know almost exactly what they can do and how strong they are at certain points of the game. This gives me and understanding of how and when to play aggressively and when to play safe. For the most part, play safe early and then you get your powerspike with stridebreaker and boots and you are one if the strongest champions in the game so make sure that you take full advantage of your powerspikes. And also Garen is really fun to play, not requiring 500 inputs per second like som other champions :D

Hello, i struggle a lot against Garen as Sett, do you have any advice to play against him, i feel like i can only farm and contest his push, nice video btw !

Im planning on making a sett guide in the future but for now, here are some key points in the march up: 1. Never position near your minions so that he can get the stun with his E 2. Only take short trades and let his W grit drop down so he doesn’t use a fully charged W on you. 3. Hit passive makes him insanely strong at just auto attacking you down, so only trade when you have your spells up, most importantly, your w. 4. The healing from his passive is based on missing health whereas yours is max health, so if you both get down to half hp, you are going to heal much more and be able to get a positive health trade. 5. Once he is low enough you have more burst and can easily kill him if he doesn’t W your ult. To play around this, you can start a trade with E and then Q, if he doesn’t use W on your Q he is silenced and dead from your ult. If he decides to ult your Q you can just wait out the shield, kiting him and not hitting him while its ticking down and then ulting when the shield is gone. Hopefully some of these tips prove useful until i make a full guide on the match up :)

@@Erislash Simple kit = player diff You have to outplay your opponents on a micro and macro level to consistently win. Imo, garen could've easily been picked up in worlds. He absolutely shits on all the garbage meta picks ( Jax , aatrox, ksante, renekton etc;) especially once he finishes stridebreaker. Camille and range top layers are the only annoying matchups, also not sure if you can run garen without ignite.

Yea if pro players where more comfortable with playing Garen, he could have won most of the match ups. But since I never play him with TP, Im not sure how well he would fit in a pro setting where TP is really important. If he managed to snowball early with ignite, then maybe he could still be viable even in pro play!

@@Erislash you just need a good cpu for this game, if you get something like a ryzen 5 5600 you'll have ~200 fps late game, you could probably keep the gpu and psu and all that stuff and maybe only change cpu motherboard and ram.
