Mirage is so fun. Personally I’ve been running a build focused on Quicksilver Reload + Surge of Power + Toxic Bullets + Escalating Exposure for crazy Djinn mark damage. But that’s for nonranked games. In ranked i was running the deathy tornado mirage build pre-patch. But I’ll give this a try, looks nice.

I picked up mirage this patch and arrived at the conclusion on my own that long range/sharpshooter, fortitude, and siphon bullets are all great items on him. Super validating to hear from high level players that I was on the right track. I’ve been building heroic aura after getting headhunter. Combo looks like: slowing hex -> scarab -> heroic aura -> dump mag -> pop djinns for quicksilver. You just delete people. Also with monster rounds, heroic aura, dumping your mag, then into quicksilver lets you just delete walkers too. I might try kinetic dash like sharky did here to bring the build online a little earlier. But even though it’s a tad greedy, heroic aura is pretty dope.

The urn probably has to be delivered to the same location for both teams. Otherwise it would be weird to contest the urn and have no ability to steal because your altar is in a different location.

also am thinking that its not just incentive for the lagging team to take it, its disincentive for the leading team to do it. keeping it as a comeback mechanic and not a snowball mechanic

I hated Mirage and thought he was terrible besides tornado spam, then they put Reload Speed on Long Range and suddenly he feels amazing. Probably one of the biggest early 1 item power spikes ever.

@@PoleOutGod I don't think they are, look how many times Seven ultimate got buffed in the last 1-2 months when everybody in lower/mid elo are crying about it being OP, the game is balanced around high tier play similarly to DOTA as Icefrog is in charge of this one.

As someone who plays mainly Mirage from when he came out. I like to build more fire rate on him and then go Spirit and gun damage. You deal dmg faster, stacks do massive damage, its just erasing people with 900 dmg on Djinns mark

I also hate the urn change, its really harsh for the winning team which just doesnt feel great. It sucks winning lane then realizing the enemy team gets a free urn early game because in order to contest i need to go through the entire enemy team and fight beyond their walkers. Edit: and its not like i can deliver the urn or put it in our base either, due to the urn changes this patch. I dont like the inevitability of the losing team getting urn early

well if your ahead you can use the urn to bait the enemy team into a teamfight dont see many players do that

Pristine Emblem is a must on Mirage for me, I'd take that over sharp shooter

Whenever I play against mirage I speedrun restorative locket, it's a good counter to mirage in early laning phase.

Can be a good option in lane but it's a big investment, might be worth building some 500 items with more value to sustain

@@Noizeeh I main shiv, so I take enduring spirit too. Each scarab he uses on minions and on me adds stacks on locket and after enough stacks I just run him down.

i found locket only to be good value vs lady geist. mid game to late game the item falls behind.
