Some of the video's main points: Buy on pistol round, know when and how to spray, play ct spots. Don't wide peek every angle or push as a ct with out a reason. Place crosshair out from the wall, not at the wall. Play the same spots on ct side almost every round -- to help learn where good spots are on a map. Think about where good spots are for after plant scenarios. Buy utility as much as possible. Smokes can be used to isolate angles or to slow enemy pushes. Molotovs can be used to help player set up and can be used to stop enemy executes. Molotovs can also be used to help players focus on one angle by blocking other angles.

I think the biggest problem in silver sometimes isn't a personal thing. If 50/50 my tm8s are complete trash, I can't 1v5 every round. So I drop 50 kills a game and win a lot of clutches but in the end the 16-14 or 16-12 scoreline where I lose just shows that in a 5 person game your tm8s have an impact on whether you can win or not. I seen alot of silver players doesn’t have a microphone or gaming headset or they don’t talked, and silvers doesn’t warm up in competitive match. And I seen most silver players just abandoned a competitive matches on like half round or the match started and is so frustrating and ignoring that they keep leaving and not warming up at all. Other tips for silvers is that download a workshop map and practice your aim and learn the maps on offline bots or even casual mode to learn the maps and practicing talking to your teammates while playing on competitive mode. And also buying and dropping weapons for your team is extremely important talked nice to your team and not yelling at them. That’s the other tips on how to get out of silver.

Of course learning maps and the first half of the spray patterns for the main guns will probably be enough for you to get out of silver. A couple nades and some practice improvising. Even one other party member can make getting out of silver much easier. Teamwork is king.

Hey Voo, this is kind of a late comment for this video, but at 3:00, I noticed you talked about the correct form of counter-strafing. I am faceit level 4 right now, looking to improve, but the whole time the way I have counterstrafed has been holding D then holding A. Why would it matter at all if you hold them both or just tap then let go of both? Either way, you're not moving. I just do not understand the difference between the two. Thanks, GuppyKitty

if you hold both it's the same as letting go of the initial movement - they just cancel each other out. counter strafing is using the opposite movement key to fully stop instantly. there's friction in CS so if you simply cancel out the forward movement, it takes some time to fully stop.

Biggest problem for me without a doubt is that my teammates simply don't care about winning or losing. Most of games are just normal games with pretty fair fights, every soften there will be a straight sketchy wipe out but most are normal. The thing is if you're winning 4 games then losing 1 over and over you're not going to rank up. Those games that are losses are simply losses because I'm the only one trying. I'm being completely honest here. It's tiring.

Either they need to add a new bottom rank below silver, or they need better/faster ranking up for people that don't belong in silver. With Valve's messed up matchmaking, I've played against silver, GN, and MG, and the only difference I noticed is with silver, if you miss the first shot you can still get out of it if you land the ones after. Otherwise they tend to have almost 80% headshot rate, near instant targeting and kills, know all the tactics you mentioned, and if you're caught off guard you're guaranteed to be killed in less than a second.

I am curious if mm ranks are standardised globally. Would an average sem ranked player from Australia be equivalent for the most part in skill to an average sem ranked player from North America? As an Australian player myself I am often told by my higher ranked friends that climbing the ranks is much easier if I block Australian servers if favour of Asian ones with a tool like MM Server Picker.

me: takes a duel, falls off of the angle. takes another duel at that angle, falls back. rinse and repeat, using utility as I go. my silver teammates: "WHY ARE YOU LEAVING SITE THEY'RE ON SITE HOLD THE SITE YOU SUCK"

I mean there's a difference between falling off angles and completely leaving the site. If you can trade a few kills while falling back to site, that's a better play. Dying on site isn't the end of the world. However, a 5 on 1 push where you don't see yourself winning anything, falling back into a position ready for a post-plant retake with your teammates is a better play. It depends on the space you're holding and the dynamics of the round. It's very situational, but typically, on a normal execute, delaying the push for as long as possible and dying on site is going to give your team the most time to rotate and pick off enemies as they attempt to take site. Just make sure you're exhausting your utility so you don't die stacked.

These are my tips to get out of silver I have 148 wins with 700hrs in csgo and my current rank is gn2 What I use to do is 1k bots in aim bots (90* with helmet and armor ) 200with ak 200with m4 100with usps 100 with glork 100 with deagle and rest with random weapons and awp After that I use to play 1 hour of community death match trust me DM is the key to go I also use to practis in yprak cross hair placement match, but after even all this I use to get like 10 kills but then my poor old lapi broke then my father bought a 300$pc for me and my kills went from 7-10 to 30-40 and when I started playing with my gn4 friends instead of solo q I ranked up x2 fast, so play with a good pc from with you can get 60fps and play with friends who are better rank then you(i k you dont have good friend xD)do 1k bots in aim_botz and 1 hour of community death match trust me you will be out of silver in 1 months as I ranked up from silver 2 to gold nova 2 in just 1 month

In that kind of situation I would try to land a bodyshot to tag him, and then spray him down. The better play, though, is to try to avoid close range duels against smgs in the first place.

The biggest thing to get out of silver is legit non of this; it’s still great advice though. This improves YOU, it does not improve the random idiots you can’t play with. Learn all this then get matched with a Negev or deagle only; ruins everything when a site gets overwhelmed. The best thing you can do is network with good players that take the game serious, period.

I got put in silver for playing with random and then I generally get better always top spot sometimes second getting 20-30 kills and a noticeable difference in game sense and aim just to get dropped even further down silver...

7 games won in a row, all long matchs, 20 to 15 kills a game, 5 to 4 mvps, top fragged half the games. Still Silver two Love this game
