The Schroder has been really fun in ranked, have had some amazing games. The AP just absolutely chews through German super structure, I often get 10k dam a salvo, and the secondaries and maneuverability make it a very competent ship to use against DD’s

Hey Potato I'm glad you're giving ranked another go. I can't but agree with you about how the fun shatters when CVs and subs show up. I have only known the game with those two classes included so I guess I am not as bothered by it as the players who have known how the game feels withouth them. I would appreciate content about ranked, what strategies go with what ships. I am a DD main and I really appreciate having battle impact. Ranked is a game mode which, when the match maker allows it to be, increases the impact your action have on battle results. By the way, I encourage you to give the Italian DD line another go in ranked. I really enjoy the way it can be played in ranked compared to random battle and have had the most fun playing that line in ranked even though I have yet to get L. Sansonetti. The same way the cruiser line is sort of broken in random battle mode owing to sap, I feel like the DD line is kinda broken in any DD engagement in broken as long as positionning is planned. Same. Been grinding my T9's and enjoying fewer CV's. T10 ranked means most of my grinding stops because randoms is unplayable on SEA. Gonna miss this season.

If you want suggestions on content let me make one for you. Years ago Flamu made a whole techtree showcase on the German DD line. It was over an hour long and he played one game on each ship and before each game he talked about the ship, its strengths, builds, equipments etc. Its still one of my favorite world of warships videos on youtube. Doing complete showcase videos for whole techtrees would be awesome. Could also be very useful for new players.

P. Rupprecht is pretty good in ranked, but that ship is really a paper tiger. If you look at it wrong it melts. It's just that PQ plays his BBs so well (angles always correctly) that he doesn't feel the pain all that often. I enjoyed my time in the Rupprecht, but if you expose one more degree of broadside than you should you will be in a world of pain in that ship.

Rupprecht has become my go to T9 ranked ship. Its so good in this mode! In bronze and silver where its the most fun my old N1 Alaska has been quite useless since there re few DDs but lots of BBs around.

I'm having lots of fun in ranked with a secondary build Alsace. 12km and they set LOTS of fires.

Rupprecht is literally the god ship from bronze till gold. You don't even have to be good at this game to win. Just angle properly, use your guns from 10km away (even a bot can aim well at these ranges) and see everything melt in front of you. It literally has zero counters in t9 ranked atm. Even traditionally good t9 premium ships (Alaska, JB, Georgia) struggle against it. But when the new ranked season start Schlieffen will have some problems cause of 460+ overmatch spammers.

Honestly as someone who played alot of ranked this Season, i can tell you CVs and Subs arent as much of a Problem as they where before, Delaware and Louisiana are a much bigger Problem, like in a CV Game the spotting for both Teams if "fair" because they both have Planes, but with the Hybrid its just unfair if only one Team has 1. Because Loui can just shit on DDs for 10k for free and pretty much solo carry, while the other Team has to rely on the DDs, Radar or Hydro.

Ranked has become what Randoms used to be. Shockingly I’ve found Randoms to be way more toxic and Ranked to be filled for the most part with super nice players. Plus you can’t deny that the smaller battles allow you to do so much more with a variety of ships that you just can’t get in Randoms. I’ve literally stopped playing Randoms altogether for the past 2 years because of this.

Ranked is inherently better because there's far fewer teammates in a game so far less chance of a CV or sub ruining it.

Can someone please explain me how PQ has so small UI? Like in port every button is small and everything looks fresh since there is distance between everything, meanwhile my UI looks like it has been adjusted by a grandpa 😂
