RANKED SPLATOON 3: The Nuzlocke

One series that viewers have been asking me to bring back ever since Splatoon 3 was first released was the ranked nuzlocke. The ranked nuzlocke was something that I first did in Splatoon 2 and it was one of my most notable series to date. So with Splatoon 3’s update cycle likely coming to an end in September of this year, now seems like a great time to give it a try! This nuzlocke has the old charm of the Splatoon 2 nuzlockes while also continuing the channel lore that began in some of the other series I’ve done in Splatoon 3. So you are in for quite a ride. Let me know right here in the comments! 😉 For you lore experts that might've noticed Kane's slight change in eye color that's because....... the first episode of the nuzlocke was recorded before the announcement was and while I was getting scenes for the announcement, the Discord members who helped me out forced me to change his eyes to the dark green/olive color while having me at gunpoint LOL! So let's just say he's wearing contacts this first episode. 😀

YESSSS! Time for round 2! I can't wait for all the future SPLATLOCKE episodes! (and the LORE that they may hide) If shooters are alpha's main, dulies are billy's main and chargers are the host's main... then I feel it's fitting that Kane's main would be splatanas also LORE TIME: The star at the end flickers to red... but not all of it at first just the bottom 4 turn red, but then the top does too soon after I think this indicates the corruption of those created from alpha because of dave/travis spilling the truth, which then leads to the corruption of alpha...

Alpha. I- why are you so good at the angsty screaming- MY GOSH. Alright, so, more lore! Splatlocke is alive now, just like Billy and Inkspedition… hmm… that’s… both exciting and worrying? I see they’re more the shy, introverted type, seems like the person to get the wrong order and not say anything- It’s really interesting to see each character and how they’re voiced, it’s also insane how many voices you can do Alpha 😂 but you can sort of tell the person’s personality by the voice, Splatlocke is quieter, more introverted, and also more empathetic, seems to care about emotions and be concerned, yet doesn’t push- it’s really intriguing to pick up on character traits just by small interactions! Now the end there… the red star, that’s concerning, hope Alpha doesn’t have some like evil counterpart that’s formed out of his negative emotions- like fear/anger/annoyance, those kinda of thing- hmmmmmm Ya know I wonder if this’ll ever get to a point where I can find ao3 fics on this lore… that’s either going to go horribly or incredibly and I can’t decide if I’m terrified or excited for that-

Just so you know, Billy’s eyes are white, Alpha’s blue, the host of the Inkspedition’s purple, and SPLATLOCKE-er, I mean Kane, is green (its updated after IT’S COMING… trailer.) According to the Alpha-Star and my intuition, there are two options for this series to continue. The purple point of the star is the host, and the white point is Billy since they are opposites, which is why they are on opposite sides of the star. The green point is SPL-DANG IT I MEAN KANE, and it was confirmed by Alpha in the comments. But right now he doesn’t have an opposition. Note that Alpha’s eyes are both blue, the iris and the pupil, which is a bit creepy considering the others aren’t like that. So Alpha is either one of the points… or in the center. You see, since Alpha technically created the star, he’s probably in the center of it all. And if he isn’t, there’s only one mystery character left for the last point, since Alpha is blue and can occupy any of the two spaces. If Alpha was, in fact, in the center though… I think Travis and Dave might get roped into this mess and complete the Alpha-Star. Maybe it’s a final form?

Alright time for another essay-long theory! In Splatoon, when you eat snacks at the various food stands, each food can give you a different ability or boost. But I’ve noticed whenever the Inkspedition host, Billy, or Kane is on-screen, it doesn’t show much ability on them. In fact, even though Billy always talks about his chicken nuggets, he never told us about the taste. There are five senses, sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste. Billy, though, has like seven. He can read emotions and sense them as shown in IT’S COMING…, and can sense where people are as shown in Inside the Mind of Splatoon 3 Dualie Mains. It seems to me Kane’s aim is better in Splatoon 3 than in Splatoon 2. And I can tell a bit that the Inkspedition host can read a room. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shared these senses, too. Now back to the fact that Billy, Kane, and the Inkspedition host don’t have those food abilities, what if it was because they don’t eat at all? What if all of their senses were just sight, hearing, emotions, and where people were? What if Alpha was the only one who possessed these powers in the “Alpha-Star?” I’ll leave you hanging because I need more research. 😅
