Yeah, my biggest gripe is that they're packaging it with NSO and making us pay for it at all even though it's only like 10% completed.

@ I get that, and I can see why that would make people upset. I have a different point of view though. Unlike their Virtual Console games, Nintendo likely doesn’t have easy access to much of their song library. For one, a lot of games they made are from other companies like Hal, Game Freak, and Rare, and they probably need to get all the proper permissions to put the music on their app. Not only that, but they also have to carefully make sure that every single song (from the base game) is there, and if it can extend in game, they have to make sure it can extend in the app. Then they have to take every single song in the game, which could be hours and hours of music, and apply labels to every single song. Things like characters the song is attached to, certain areas like boss fights, grassy plains, or desert areas, and even vibes like cheery or sleepy. With all that taken into account it makes a lot of sense why they aren’t even close to having a complete library. I’m also glad it’s on NSO, because if it wasn’t, it would be on a different paid platform. I know people are complaining that they should have just dumped all the soundtracks on Spotify, but Spotify would not have put nearly as much care into making sure every song is easily available and readily labelled as Nintendo is. Also, Spotify is freaking expensive. Spotify at its cheapest is 5.99 a month. That is about $72 a year, which is a lot of money, and that’s just the student account. NSO however, is just a $20 yearly payment, and it is so much more than just the music app. Even if you can’t pay up $20 a year, you can find up to 9 other friends who all have a Nintendo Switch, get the $30 family plan, you will be paying $3 a year for all this stuff! Now, this isn’t me saying that NSO is a great thing. It would be awesome if the music app was a one time purchase, or you could buy each game’s soundtrack individually, and get the soundtrack for free if you have the game it’s tied too, but that’s not what we got. Also, if you don’t want to read all this I completely understand. It’s a lot.

It's a good start! I just wish it came out with a lot more songs than what we got. Especially if they're nuking channels that post Nintendo's music.

As someone who has NSO, it's nice to have it be bundled in with that! The huge holes in the OST is just very disappointing. Even if it's cheaper than it could be, it shouldn't be released at 10% completion without clarity when we're getting the rest.

They do give screenshots of where some of the music plays which is a nice touch
