Ranking all the Bleach Captains from Weakest to Strongest. Bleach has always been one of my favorite anime series; while it definitely had its flaws and being rushed out at the end was a huge issue, the series as a whole has always been something I’ve loved. Ichigo’s journey from being a normal kid and turning into a powerful shinigami was honestly an amazing story, filled with great characters like the best girl Rukia Kutchiki, to the demonic espada Ulquiorra. However, there are some characters that have always stuck out to me as being the most interesting, and in some cases, the most intimidating. And these are the captains of Gotei 13.

Agreed. I mean they have rukia above yoruichi for crying out loud. Unahana was the original kenpachi and should be no lower than forth or maybe fifth. Kenpachi is so freaking strong that every major bad guy basically didn't want to fuck with him. Both aizen and the quincy king were wary of him, the head captain made him take kendo classes for one day and was like "nooooo fuckl i need to keep this fucker ignorant or he may be problems later on." and stopped teaching him. This isn't to say aizen and yamamoto can't beat him, they might be able to, but it would take a great deal of effort. Koraku as strong as he is, would get his ass handed to him if kenpachi went all out so him being in second place ABOVE EVEN AIZEN who can beat him is crazy

Captain Ukitake useless? He was literally one of the main people that saved Rukia from her execution by suppressing the Sokyoku. He is also the one that did the research on the Jokai Crest along with Captain Kyoroku. He definitely isn’t useless. Definitely one of the best captains

@@Zenzo0 I know what your point is but you may have missed mine, my point is that he really would not be obliged to include anyone you suggested depending on what basis he would be basing that list of Gotei 13 Captains on, like say for instance the list is based on CANON Captains in the Gotei 13 who actually have had fights and feats shown (which would exclude Ginrei), under such a criteria the only other Captain excluded from the video would be Ichigo's dad Ishin since he was a Gotei 13 Captain who actually has had fights and feats to base his strength on.

Gin was literally the only character in the entire Bleach series who was able to seriously injure Aizen at that point in time (and is currently one of the few with them being the main character and the main villain of the series.) Also don’t come at me with the ”oh he got surprised by Gin” and that shit. Aizen stated that he knew Gin's objective from a long time ago, meaning that he shouldn't have never let his guard down around someone who is threatening his life juts like any normal person wouldn't do. One of Aizen’s strengths was his long-term planning ahead of things by using his Kyoka Suigetsu in which he used in every fight he fought. Gin knew this and began formulating a strategy something that even the Head Captain wasn’t able to do, despite him stating that he had been the strongest Shinigami in over a thousand years so him discovering a person’s Zanpakutō's weakness shouldn’t be difficult. Because of this I would call Gin’s assassination attempt on Aizen a showcase of Gin's intelligence since he knew he couldn’t take down Aizen one on one. This was further proved on when he commented to Aizen about how watching the other captains trying to take him down made him nervous. A person’s strength isn’t always determined on raw strength alone but rather his mind like they say. Gin was able to outwit Aizen by the very same strength that Aizen exceeded at and the only reason Gin wasn’t able to kill Aizen was because of the plot since the main character has to defeat the main villain.

I mean we don't know, if Aizen even tried to achieve a bankai. It doesn't matter, as his sword is destroyed now. Also in Bleach universe often when Shikai is so strong, there may not be anything left for Bankai. Soifon and one of the past Kenpachis are good example of that. The difference is not really significant. But well - we still may see it, considering series got renewed. Probably not for Ukitake, cause he sacrificed himself when using the hand, but still - flashbacks always can be made. Also Brave Souls may bring one to life for him, considering it did bring back all the Arrancars with new forms.

He didn't run, he achieved his objective of obtaining the Hogyoku and decided not to fight the Soul Society at that time. If the Captains could have defeated Aizen they would have done it. They didn't. If his own Espada could have defeated him they would have. They couldn't. Aizen in base is leagues beyond any Captain and now Aizen is way beyond his base and is currently immortal. Nobody is a challenge for him now except Yhwach.

Ukitake isn't the weakest captain BY far.... Its stated by Yamamotto that he and Kyoraku are pretty much equals. Bad writing is what was the ruin of Ukitake. He and Kyoraku fought against Ryujin Jakka in their shikai's. Ukitake physically stopped Byakuya from killing Hanotaro and Byakuya did nothing....If any other captain grabbed Byakuya outside of Yamamotto, or Kyoraku, Byakuya would've stepped to them. And in the final Arc... when Ukitake died the gate to the Soul Palace broke...and Nanao stated that Ukitake had more reiatsu than most of the captains...and he used a lot of it to keep his body sturdy and his disease at bay,,,but he still had enough to be high tier captain class.... that's pretty cool.... But Kubo really messed up his character, along with many other characters in Bleach with horrible writing. 85% of the fights went to the same characters, and other character with potential just got shafted.

My favorite captain used to be Kenpachi, but Mayuri Kurotsuchi totally won me over as my favorite. While every other captain can raise their powers a bit. He is the one that can completely change his strength and abilities. You can never really feel safe about him for you never know what sort of insane ways to deal with you he may have. ... I guess I have also turned a bit cynical and perhaps even slightly sadistic. So that may play in to why I find him so likable. I do in fact think characters can react to that sort of speed. That is why you want it to be a surprise attack.

There's no way at all that Hitsugaya is stronger than Ichimaru in Soul Society. Ok maybe he's "stronger" but we saw that fight and Gin just laughed at him. Toshiro MAY be stronger but in an actual fight I'm sure Gin has the upper hand solely due to Toshiro's mentality. On the other hand pretty sure Ukitake is stronger than Byakuya in Soul Society too considering he just kinda casually wanders up to him and stops his shikai killing Ganju. Dunno about that fight because Ukitake is always ill but in terms of strength there's no way Byakuya can match him, this coming pretty much from Yamamoto himself.

IMO from evidence we have in the arc and afterwards the captain ranking in Soul Society is; 1. Yamamoto 2. Aizen/Unohana 4. Kyoraku 5. Ukitake Yama is the strongest, the other four are solely hearsay but it's clear Aizen doesn't want to fight Unohana or Kyoraku and Ukitake. Unohana, even while hypnotised, knew about Aizen's fake body. It's uncertain but there's arguments. Then after that it gets a bit difficult but 6. Byakuya/Gin/Soi Fon 9. Kenpachi 10. Toshiro 11. Tosen/Komamura 13. Mayuri Most of these characters don't fight much so we never know. Byakuya is clearly stronger than the rest due to Ichigo's path but we don't know about Gin who merely toys with Ichigo and Hitsugaya or Soi Fon who puts up a good fight against Yoruichi (another power level we don't know). At this point Kenpachi is clearly weaker than Byakuya due to his fight with Ichigo and clearly stronger than both Tosen and Komamura managing to defeat both of them singlehandedly. Tosen is also demonstrably stronger than Mayuri considering his interaction with Uryu after he beats Mayuri (though there are reasons why Uryu straight up loses) The only real toss up is Toshiro Hitsugaya as we only really see him lose to Aizen and Gin. I put him quite low on the list because we absolutely have no idea about him. I can't see him being stronger than Byakuya but there's definitely some arguments to place him anywhere between Gin and the bottom of the list.

If you think about it shunsuis bankai brings the tragic events in his life into metaphorical attacks. The first technique sharing of the wound is a metaphor for him and nano losing her parents. Mayuri might have the skills and the intellect to put up a fight, but Rukia wouldn't even come close. Aside from their massive gap in experience and base reiryoku, Shinji also has hollow powers and a Shikai that puts Rukia's to shame in a 1 on 1. His bankai has also been teased as being a far too powered reversal of reality itself, which is too vague to give a definitive value for, but considering how limited Rukia's bankai is, I can't imagine Shinji's far more matured and actually banned bankai being less powerful.

Haven't watched but it is repeatedly stated in the manga and anime that Genryusai Yamamoto was the strongest of the Gotei 13. No other evidence in the manga or anime suggests this is not the case. He was such an issue that Aizen literally had to develop a specialized Espada to deal with his flames and even then Old man Yama kick ass.

How is Kyoraku above Aizen? Aizen literally stomped him easily before even fusing with hogyoku, and he never even used his bankai which we know he has one. Yeah, we saw Kyoraku’s bankai, but judging off of Aizen’s shikai, we can assume his bankai is even stronger than that. Other than that, this is a pretty decent list.

It definitely comes down to Aizen and Yamamoto, but the thing is when Aizen defeated Yamamoto, he did so with the assistance of Wonderweiss, who was specifically meant to counter Yama. Aizen even acknowledges that Yama’s abilities are actually a threat, although I don’t know if he meant it as “this guy might be stronger than me” or just that he’s at a similar level. At the same time however, Aizen definitely has the hax advantage, even if Yama has his own hax.

@@1337h4x0r42Kyoraku is higher because he is the 2nd strongest amongst captains behind Yamamoto. He's the first and most experienced captain along with Ukitaki. Aizen and Kenpachi are both stronger in terms of destructive power and spiritual pressure, but Kyoraku is older and much more experienced in battle than them. Yamamoto knew this as well, and already had him designated to be the next head captain. He'd beat all of the captains 1v1. He pretended to be defeated by Aizen. Even Aizen knew it. He wasn't hurt at all lol.

how excited r u that the bleach anime is returning for the quincy ark? I cant wait to see the captains bankais, new forms, aizen and especially ichigos new form that is gonna be fucking dope.
