For some reason I misremembered the scene. 3. You can argue that Meta-Cooler is the fastest villain on paper, but I find Broly and Janemba's speed scaling to be comparable, if not greater.

I would imagine Janemba being one of Frieza's former henchmen that failed him and was killed by him, but he was his "biggest fan, but in HIFL he bides his time and not only escapes HIFL, but escapes into the universe and becoming a very smooth crime lord that bides his time until he is ready to take over Frieza's Empire, but not before humiliating him by planning to do what Frieza could never do, but not only that, but make it to where Beerus would definitely need to get involved if Janemba isn't stopped.

28:28 actually Broly isn't getting hit by Goku & Piccolo! If you look closely at the animations and slow it down, he's actually dodging ALL the hits from both of them while staying mostly in place! I didn't know this either until I took a closer look, but pausing and looking at each frame shows that he's just casually swaying and making them whiff which is honestly even more impressive imo. It indicates that Broly has a high level of fight skill and not just overwhelming power.

So the thing to not about Cooler, at least his original final form, is that he may not necessarily have been overwhelmed by Super Sayian. The second Goku turned Super Sayian, he caught Coolers arm mid attack, then took a knee to the chest. That's literally all Cooler needs to know before realizing their fight could go on for way too long, so it was best to just kill him asap. That's why Cooler is my all time DBZ villain, because not only does he have near Cell levels of respect for Goku, but he's smart enough to know maybe it's a bad idea to have fights that go on for weeks at a time. We never got to see how he would actually hold up to Goku, which is a damn shame, he was just too damn smart. Until he way underestimated Super Sayian anyway.

You forgot the part where cooler punches Goku in the chest point blank and Goku doesn’t even flinch. It’s a pretty big indicator that they’re not even in the same stratosphere in terms of power. Cooler had no chance.

That’s kinda what ultimate attacks do.

39:01 Actually I think there are several reasons to believe that Bio-Broly is weaker than Broly from the second movie, among which are: -Broly 2 faces a Gohan who should have the SSJ2 and defeats him (Also there is a theory that says Gohan never stoped his training in that timeline), while Bio-Broly only defeats Trunks, Goten and C-18, who apart from having similar powers are all weaker than Gohan. -While the original medic tank Broly was enhanced by science, the film depicts Bio-Broly as a highly unstable failed experiment, rather than a fully developed one. -Water, just water.

I think slug wasn't that innately strong, he just had a stronger hax defense if that makes sense. Goku's attacks did basically nothing, even FSSj, until he broke the defense with a single 100x Kaioken attack. Then, a base spirit bomb was enough, whereas Cooler required Goku to not only use super sayain, but to use multiple attacks in it for offense AND defense as well as to finish cooler off. So Cooler is stronger in the end

Agreed. Dangai Ichigo was able to ice Aizen even after his final transformation. And we have seen in canon that a fusion's vastly superior to the fusee' full power whilst in their base form. Ex. Gogeta toying with Broly in the Movie, Vegito blasting Zamas' limbs off in the Manga, Kefla dominating a weakened SSG Goku in the Anime, etc. And considering that SS3 Goku could already match Janemba's power but only started to lose when Janemba starting to reality warp and counter his techniques, Base Gogeta would easily defeat Janemba.

The movie was released after final form Frieza's reveal but it was made only with the knowledge of first form Frieza (maybe 2nd & 3rd forms but I doubt it). The lord slug movie was made during the early namek saga and it even takes a lot of inspiration for character designs and concepts like the Zarbon and Dodoria look alikes etc...

That's only 3 months... it takes at least 6 months to animate a single episode of Dragonball and Lord slug movie is twice as long as an episode.... so that means that the Lord slug movie was written and created long before Final form Frieza was revealed.... First form Frieza would have been the only known version of Frieza at the time 💯

For some reason, Broly's reputation seems to overshadow Janemba a lot within the fandom, to the point where Janemba feels forgotten, and I've always considered Janemba to have one of the best villain designs when compared to the likes of the original show and even final form cooler.

A way id like to see em do it? Explain that Cooler has been in the depths of space doin his own thing. He had spies in the freiza force and found out about broly, so he goes to either recruit or kill him. Either way freiza loses a pawn piece. Things go well at 1st but Cheelai and lemo convince broly that Cooler is bad and cooler attacks. A thing about cooler? He actually enjoys fighting so hes STUPID op and skilled. He drops broly but Goku, gohan, piccolo and vegeta show up. Dropping the picnic capsule and going to help. Goku and vegeta fight cooler at the other side of vampa while Piccoli handles the armored squadron, and gohan fights off thousands of soliders, while keeping broly and the others safe. A stray blast grazes chelai and broly goes balistic. Charging through soldiers. Gohan uses brolys sloppy attacks to synergize with him. But he sees the pain in brolys eyes from his rage. Meanwhile cooler is using his strength, speed, and tactics to keep up with G and V. Kicking up dust with his tail, blasting mountains down on them, burrowing underground to his from one and surprise the other, using his tail to grab ones arm or open them up for attacks. Cooler notices his mens energy going down and orders a retreat as he kicks it into overdrive to buy time for them fighting all 5 characters. When he sees his men escape, he shoots ba and blasts into space on his own. Broly sees this and is about to turn up, but lemo calms him down and gohan uses his knowledge of ki to heal ba. The group sit by a fire and Goku explains they were coming so gohan and piccolo could meet him. Turns out broly needed help. B4 they leave, Gohan goes to broly and speaks with him. "Hey broly, i noticed you have a bit of a problem controlling your rage, i want to help with this, ive got a lil experince in that department. If you would be willing, id like to come every now and then and help you get it under control." Broly would take gohan over to ba to get bas approval, and when ba does approve via licking gohans face, broly would give the janky OK sign. Goku would tell gohan hed instant transmission him but vegeta would pipe up and tell him to just TEACH gohan the technique. "You shouldve done it ages ago clown". As everyone laughs the movie would end. A post credits scene would show cooler going onto a ship and coming to a dark room. Where he speaks with someone about his saiyan troubles and asking for an alliance. The figure would be sitting in a chair overlooking holographic screens. When they turn around, its revealed to be freiza, and the screens show 4 other fighters(Bojack, slug, turles, and garlic jr), a means to gather warriors for a "plan to eradicate the super saiyans".

Theres a really good fan manga out called dragon ball hakai and it introduces cooler in a way that makes you want to orgasm. He was basically an elite general in Cold’s army but Cooler’s power was getting out of control, and he surpassed both Frieza and King Cold. Knowing that even if they team up they’d lose, they decided to design a device that basically seals cooler away in a slumber until the events of dragonball Hakai. It’s executed flawlessly

Goku didn’t “fuse” with the z fighters against broly. He had a bit of energy lended to him, which implies that their energy is being *added* to his. Fusion, on the other hand, is the product of a multiplication of between the two.

Did you know in the games, Dabura and another majin from dragonball heroes mentions janemba resembles another high ranking official from the demon realm. What is more interesting is, in shin budokai kid buu and janemba can understand each other. Imagine if they used this in dragonball super, it would be the perfect way to give us a look into the demon realm!

Cooler had one of the best hax(the bagetti star) which is Regen and instant adaptability the only think that killed him was the plot. If he had trained like Frieza we may have a black cooler or golden cooler. He also would have fought in TOP as he is much more convinceable.

I would argue Broly lost due to Fusion as well since Goku combined all the powers of his comrades like the Spirit Bomb but was able to amplify them within himself. Furthermore I believe Broly's power was behaving like Ultra Instinct in that it constantly rose the more he got used to it, but was growing too much for his body to handle which is why he was beaten and blew up, from the punch. His maximumer power burned through him to the point where physically he was degenerating.

Great video. I was kind of hoping for this list to be more based on "threat-level" rather than power level (less predictable that way). While there was some threat consideration within each tier of villains, in the greater picture it was still a power level based list. For example: a threat level based list would put Cooler a lot lower than Garlic since SSJ Goku easily clapped Cooler while Garlic would have been a certain loss for Goku & co if it hadn't been for Garlic's stupidity.

Broly got one shot by the added power of a weakened Cell Games cast. He's somewhere between 100% Perfect Cell and SSJ2 Gohan at most. SSJ2 Goku or Vegeta in the Buu arc would floor his ass. (The guide books are iffy. They contradict each other and some of what they say is blatantly nonsensical, especially for post-Frieza power levels.)

​@@Arbron​ Actually, Broly would easily kill Super Perfect Cell and SSJ2 Gohan at the same time. Add SSJ3 Goku, SSJ2 Majin Vegeta, and even Mystic Gohan, and it still wouldn't make a difference. Why? Because Broly is a non-canon Z movie character, and non-canon Z movie characters have galaxy feats (Broly), universe-shaking (SSJ3 non-canon Movie 12 Goku), reality-bending (Janemba), and so on. SSJ3 Movie 12 Goku shook the universe just by transforming, which automatically puts him at the very top of Dragon Ball Super in feats (since SSJ God Goku had the SHARED feat of shaking the universe with Beerus, while Movie 12 Goku did it alone). It's the reason why GT characters are much more powerful. Tapion's sword (from non-canon movie 13) is in Dragon Ball GT, Cooler (who is also non-canon movie character) is in Dragon Ball GT, seen escaping hell. Moreover, Goku knows Dragon Fist (which is non-canon and only appearedi n movie 13), and Goku and Vegeta both know fusion intuitively (which they had only learned in Movie 12). GT characters are the same characters as the non-canon Z movie timeline, the only difference is that it takes place many years later. It's why GT Goku blew up a dimension in his base form with a basic Kamehameha.

About Bojack and the Kais, it could just be a weird kai power (hax, I suppose) that let them seal someone stronger than them. It would be similar to how Shin was able to paralyze Gohan during the tournament in the Buu saga. If the technique's effectiveness depended solely on Shin having 'more' ki than the target or something (along the lines of Bleach characters negating attacks via higher reiatsu), you'd think it wouldn't have been able to hold Gohan. I agree on Janemba being #1 though. The guy was outright warping reality.

I always headcanon that Fusion Reborn actually is in the same timeline as the Broly movies, and the reason Broly doesn't appear at all is due to the ending of the Bio Broly movie. The ending of that movie, BTW, has Goku and Pikkon sensing that Broly is rampaging in the afterlife so they go to stop him. This is where my headcanon comes in, where I believe that they beat the shit out of Broly so badly that even after Janemba created the opportunity, he never wanted to fuck with Goku again. BTW wouldn't Meta Cooler still be the fastest movie villain regardless?
