Another crazy ideas for the sprints would be to introduce even softer tyres, so that pit stops will actually become an option

Sprint races should have some spin to it, like reversed grid or something.
@nickwall249757 минут бұрын
Always thought the spint races would be better as their own mini championship and not be included in the overall championship. Also 1 shot qualifying too in championships order, letting the cars at the back have the track at it's best. Could shake it up a bit, especially in the midfield

Great video as always. I hope you dont stop making videos I can tell you don't like sprints and that im in the minority of hardcore fans in that i like them!

How about we just all collectivelly STOP watching the Sprint races to tell the FIA we do not give a fudge about that nonsense so we can go to normal Sunday racing only ?

Fab video! It would be interesting if F1 took the full F2 route with sprints, reversing the top 10 and more points overall, but I dont know if that would necessarily improve the format racing wise

When you eventually release an update at the end of the 2024 season, I would like to see what the individual 2021 championship looks like with the updated point system from 2022 onwards

The only reason F1 or whoever it is that's in charge doesn't make sprints a rookie event is because they know it'll kill F2 (which is pretty useless at evaluating or showing off drivers)

I agree sprint is *MUST* being a separate championships for rookies and reserve drivers. If F1® really can have 15 teams (this is too extreme, indeed), this is my dream 2025 line-up (I have two version, first for regular Grand Prix, and second for sprint race, but all of them is absolutely fantasy): 👇 🇳🇱 Max Verstappen (Red Bull) 🇦🇺 Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) 🇪🇸 Carlos Sainz Jr. (McLaren) 🇬🇧 Lando Norris (McLaren) 🇲🇨 Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) 🇬🇧 Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) 🇫🇮 Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) 🇮🇹 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) 🇫🇷 Pierre Gasly (Renault) 🇫🇷 Théo Pourchaire (Renault) 🇩🇪 Sebastian Vettel (Porsche) 🇩🇪 Mick Schumacher (Porsche) 🇪🇸 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) 🇨🇦 Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) 🇳🇿 Liam Lawson (AlphaTauri) 🇦🇺 Jack Doohan (AlphaTauri) 🇬🇧 Jenson Button (Williams-BMW) 🇬🇧 George Russell (Williams-BMW) 🇩🇪 Nico Rosberg (Audi) 🇩🇪 Nico Hülkenberg (Audi) 🇯🇵 Yuki Tsunoda (Honda) 🇨🇳 Zhou Guanyu (Honda) 🇹🇭 Alexander Albon (Toyota) 🇦🇺 Oscar Piastri (Toyota) 🇫🇮 Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) 🇧🇷 Felipe Drugovich (Alfa Romeo) 🇫🇷 Esteban Ocon (Peugeot) 🇬🇧 Oliver Bearman (Peugeot) 🇲🇽 Sergio Pérez (Cadillac) 🇳🇱 Nyck de Vries (Cadillac) And this is for sprint only: 👇 🇨🇭 Ralph Boschung (Red Bull) 🇳🇴 Dennis Hauger (Red Bull) 🇲🇽 Patricio O'Ward (McLaren) 🇧🇷 Enzo Fittipaldi (McLaren) 🇮🇹 Antonio Giovinazzi (Ferrari) 🇲🇨 Arthur Leclerc (Ferrari) 🇪🇪 Paul Aron (Mercedes) 🇩🇰 Frederik Vesti (Mercedes) 🇫🇷 Isack Hadjar (Renault) 🇫🇷 Victor Martins (Renault) 🇩🇪 Fabian Vettel (Porsche) 🇩🇪 David Schumacher (Porsche) 🇧🇷 Pietro Fittipaldi (Aston Martin) 🇧🇷 Gabriel Bortoleto (Aston Martin) 🇳🇱 Richard Verschoor (AlphaTauri) 🇪🇸 Pepe Martí (AlphaTauri) 🇬🇧 Arvid Lindblad (Williams-BMW) 🇬🇧 Zak O'Sullivan (Williams-BMW) 🇩🇪 Sophia Flörsch (Audi) 🇩🇪 Oliver Goethe (Audi) 🇯🇵 Ayumu Iwasa (Honda) 🇮🇳 Jehan Daruvala (Honda) 🇯🇵 Ritomo Miyata (Toyota) 🇮🇳 Kush Maini (Toyota) 🇮🇹 Leonardo Fornaroli (Alfa Romeo) 🇦🇷 Franco Colapinto (Alfa Romeo) 🇫🇷 Giuliano Alesi (Peugeot) 🇫🇷 Clément Novalak (Peugeot) 🇺🇸 Jak Crawford (Cadillac) 🇺🇸 Juan Manuel Correa (Cadillac)

If you want any other format ideas, mine is simple: CART Points. It especially works since at one time CART tried to buy out Formula 1, the format was very simple: 1. 20 2. 16 3. 14 4. 12 5. 10 6. 8 7. 6 8. 5 9. 4 10. 3 11. 2 12. 1 Pole: +1 Most Laps Led: +1 Races count fully after the 50% mark, don't count otherwise, finishers are eligible for points as long as they start it, and shared drives are proportionally recorded with points, rounded.

I've put this system with recent IndyCar seasons, with some interesting results. With the talk earlier this year of expanding the points positions down to 12, F1 could do worse than this. I wouldn't mind a point being awarded for fastest lap either.

In all seriousness, I feel like the limiting on historical liveries shouldn't be a thing. If, for example, an American driver/team wanted to pay heritage to Penske's win in 1976, that wouldn't be allowed. For Silverstone 2025, you could go to a historic-style livery event where the cars run unsponsored in the colour of their country. E.g. Haas in a blue with white stripes or Colapinto running a blue/yellow livery for Argentina. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_auto_racing_colours

"Spider" Webb is not to be confused with a spider web, and other people with their names "Spider Webb" such as Ellsworth Webb, an American boxer who's unrelated to him, also nicknamed "Spider". His real name is Travis Webb. He began racing on the Muroc Dry Lake (now known as Rogers Dry Lake) in 1928. His car owner gave him the nickname "Spider", which explains why he is known as Spider Webb, although Travis is his real name. For "Gimax", his real name is Carlo Franchi. He entered one World Championship Formula One Grand Prix with Surtees, the 1978 Italian Grand Prix, but failed to qualify. He also participated in one non-Championship Formula One race, the 1979 Dino Ferrari Grand Prix. He also took part in Italian sportscar racing, especially in European Sportscar Championship. His pseudonym "Gimax" actually came from putting his two children's names - Gigi and Massimo (Max) together. He never raced under his real name, and his son has also raced using the name "Gimax", (either if it's Gigi or Massimo, but I'm not sure). Bobby Ball is actually Robert K. Ball, while Bobby might be his nickname. He ran in the Indianapolis 500 twice, recording a fifth place in his first 500 in 1951. And as for "Geki", his real name is Giacomo Russo. He also participated in three Formula One Italian Grands Prix from 1964 to 1966, failing to qualify for the 1964 race, driving a Brabham for Rob Walker. For his two Grand Prix starts, he drove for Team Lotus.
