Good list. Magnetic was very addictive and I can't wait for their first comeback in Q3 (Enhypen is confirmed for July, so that leaves Lesserafim in Aug and ILLIT in Sep). I think we will soon hear about their upcoming webtoon, Summer Moon, which is going to be the lore of their discography. If the key theme is magical girl there are many opportunities for different concepts. The door is open for collaboration with Gen Urobuchi aka "Urobutcher" 😂 And to the comment about live vocals, who cares, when it's about the music in the first place. They missed the encore for over a month ago but now they have become stable as the crowd noticed at K-wave yesterday 🤫

@@viviylleia their debut album is arguably the best to come out of 5th gen. It's well-regarded as a no skip album to both fans and casual listeners. Their b-sides are so good that when you see UNIS song rankings in its subreddit, Superwoman usually is in the last place. I think Butterfly's Dream, Whatchu Need, and Dream of Girls will be right by your lane.

I really recommend ILLIT (I'm hoping for them to keep this sound for their next release though), they're super talented and they seem like such nice souls! I also recommend Limelight, they have a very good discography so far (I recommend Blanc Noir, Eye to Eye, Twenty-Twenty) and will be given more members in the near future (including Yeseo and Mashiro from Kep1er) Music wise tripleS is also very interesting and their music is super catchy, their last 4 members will be revealed soon as well! I recommend Seoul Sonyo Sound, New Look, Complexity and Colorful! Rescene also sound like a promising group, if you like dreamy vibes I would really their predebut yoyo! And of course I'd recommend Loossemble, they're also having a comeback soon and are ex loona members, as well as ARTMS who just released their prerelease for their debut (it's the intro of the video)!

I might make a video on these accusations honestly because I don't get it... Put aside the fact that they are 5 Asian girls wearing long dark brown hair, what do they have in common? More than 80% of NewJeans's discography is made of UK garage, and leaning towards a Y2K aesthetic. No music on ILLIT's EP features UK Garage or even a subgenre. Magnetic is more of an electro-pop kind of track, kind of leaning to dream pop or hyper pop. Midnight Fiction is more of a pop-ballad, no idea how to categorise my world and Lucky Girl Syndrome is simply peak gg kpop even though that's not a genre lol Once again, I don't see where people find the similarities..

I honestly say the line to 5th gen is probably Vcha. The rise of kpop happend in the 2nd and 3rd gen, the total globalization was reached in 4th gen... and now it starts to have influence on other markets and new "kpop"-inspired groups are debuting all over the world. The diversification of kpop in points of for example members and the imaginary lines of ethnicity while debuting kpop groups are fading away fast. Vcha was the first one and with NewJeans bringing in a new sound at the very end of the 4th generation, another evolution started with the 5th generation.
