DK has many friends in the animal kingdom, but many of them have been forgotten to time. We discuss the capabilities of each animal buddy and then rate the likelihood of them returning in a future game!

Ellie would have gotten a better reception if she didn't replace Rambi, and there was no reason for her to replace him since the two have distinctive enough play styles that they can be in the same game.

Yeah, Rambi's pretty much the Yoshi of DK. I don't see our tanky rhyno going anywhere. Honestly, this makes me want to play some classic DK again.

You easily could bring back Hoofer and Rambi in the same game. All it would require is to just make him a bit more distinct. Like he could constantly be running, unable to jump, or in a completely different style of gameplay like a first person segment. He's probably never coming back though. I'd be happy with a reference if nothing else.
