In my opinion, the M2 carbine is incredibly underrated. It absolutely shreds at close range, and when you get the recoil pattern it shreds at medium. One of my fave guns and it wasn’t a sweat to get the mastery challenges. I’d recommend it.

I actually really like the Breda for its ability at different ranges. I do really well with the burst when taking objectives and close range. At long range, switch to tap fire and can easily take out more long distance targets- especially when swaying a bit

Having just gotten the Breda PG gold yesterday. There were definitely moments of frustration. Like when the challenges call for things like 10 kills in a life. It can be hard considering it often takes 2 to three bursts to kill somebody and on a 20 round mag it's quite limited. That said, I found it's far from the worst in the category. It's ROF is on par with the Ribeyrolles albeit it with 5 less bullets, but you can spam pull that trigger to double burst before the Ribeyrolles can finish the proper number of shots to kill you up close. I'd still rank the Ribeyrolles higher but for other reasons as a whole. I did find it most competitive against StG-44, StG 1-5, and M1 Carbine users though. In some instances it was competitive to the semi auto rifles especially under 50 meters. Not sure where I'd rank it but last isn't it. M1907 SF was my first gold gun back when BFV released in it's buggy glory. My first thought when using the M2 Carbine was how similar it was to the M1907 but a bit weaker. However, after playing with it more I realized the M2 Carbine is ultimately better up close. 900 RPM vs 770 RPM, 5 less max damage but the ROF makes up for not to mention for extended engagements or multiple targets, the extra 10 rounds per magazine helps a lot. I still prefer the M1907 SF but only because I have so much play time with it. But the harsh reality is the M2 is really a better gun all around. I have mixed feelings about the StG-44. On paper it's supposed to be great but every time I use it I just get waxed left and right. Always did far better with the Ribeyrolles myself. Hell, even the StG 1-5 proved to be better than the StG-44 despite having a higher recoil pattern. It was just predictable I suppose and as you said, dead average. It did get some buffs and I know the StG-44 got nerfed some time ago but it's still very well rounded as it should be. Just not the best for my personal usage.

I think the breda m1935 pg is the best assault rifle imo. If you can control its high vertical, its the best for range, especially with a good trigger finger. for close range if you have hipfire and burst on, it works very well. Also, you dont need muscle memory for the automatic burst, if you keep spamming the trigger it will work. I honestly think its the m1a1 of the assault rifles, just burst and higher firerate for people with trigger finger.

The Breda is a fantastic gun. To me it’s more of a semi-auto with a burst fucntion than it is an assault rifle. This versatility alone puts it miles above other ARs for me

The only drawback of Gewehr 95 in BF1 is it does not have a sweet spot like most single action rifles in the game. But with the removal of sweet spot in BFV it is not a problem anymore.

My list is like almost opposite to yours lol: 1. M2 carbine (high rpm, very predictable and controllable recoil, none existent spread) 2. Stg 1-5 (good damage for high rpm, predictable and controllable recoil, low spread) 3. Stg 44 (good damage, medium rpm, weird random jumps in recoil pattern which can be fixed with recoil buffer but then spread isn't too great as the low spread option has to be sacrificed for that, overall though a great long range assault rifle with a 3x scope) 4. M1907 sf (not enough ammo otherwise would prob be my fav) 5. Ribeyrole (low rpm, slow ttk) 6. Breda (burst fire not for me)
