The BAR has a lower fire rate option, which u can use it in mid-long range. I think that’s why the recoil control on paper seems good cuz on the slower fire rate, it’s a completely new gun

Cmon, give away an entire game for free? That just ain’t how Dice does it, they either sell a game for cheap and add the real juice of the e game in dlc packs for more money than the game itself or release a game for full price but drip feed the player base with small bits of content, then give the game its biggest update then abandon the game entirely with no plans on fixing most bugs introduced into the final update

The Bren was always my favorite LMG. If it's fully upgraded and has the AA sights, it has basically no recoil and is so damn accurate. I love it to pieces.

Its not 3 round burst the selector is for the fast and slow rate of fire they are both still full auto. The icon in game for the slower fire rate looks like 3 bullets, but yea the bar is really good

The type 11 is one of my favorites. It feels the most accurate of all the lmgs due to low recoil. Play at medium distance and you'll wreck.

To me the Bar its the best: you got 2 guns at one, as you can switch the rate of fire, and you got an insane hipfire beast and a accurate slow rpm lmg in the same gun. So you are always good with the BAR, no matter the range.

If they gave the BAR an extended mags customization on the upgrade tree, it would be the best gun in the game. It’s advantage in BFV is that you can change the rate of fire, you can use it as a suppression lmg, or like an assault rifle, but you’re always running out of ammo

If the B.A.R's rate of fire and recoil is too much, try shooting it on the slow-full auto by holding down triangle. Super controllable and still high damage

The B.A.R. is my favorite, i use it most of the time on the slower fire rate. But just you enter a smaller room for CQC you put it on the higher fire rate and scredd everything.

The Type 11 LMG is actually one of my favorites. Yes, it has a slow rate of fire but that makes it super easy to control (even wothout bipod) in combination with its solid bullet velocity and fairly high accuracy you can cover your teammates even from longer distances. In close quaters you might have a problem because of the fire rate tho

I simply use faction specific weapons. Type 97 for Japan, Browning or BAR for USA, Lewis or Bren for UK and MG 42, MG 34, S2000 or FG42 for Germany

Chauchat is an odd one but it makes sense. In terms of general design development for machine guns, Chauchat is the ideological prototype for a lot of automatic weapons. It was to be used for suppressing fire and provide mobility not found for the usual(then) machine gun implacements or even German LMGs which were based off the much older Maxim. However, it was pretty outdated by WW2 because it was large and heavy even in WW1. It's a given that people use what they have, though. I'm not really sure why they added the Chauchat other than gun diversity

My favourite. The Bren gen just like the Englishmen it was made for its slow steady and kicks really well. For example on aerodrome when there’s a lot of snipers I switch to semi automatic with a scope recoil and accuracy upgrades and it’s it say as accurate as the model 8

You sleep on the BAR It shreds close up but if you change the fire mode it shoots slower for more manageable recoil at range HOWEVER, that mode also changes the damage profile to the 5-6 shots to kill, meaning it deals more damage at range than when you leave it at high RPM.

As a BAR main, I can see where you were going wrong, although this vid came out 2 years ago, imma still share my thoughts. The BAR is (oddly) not the best for a run-and-gun play style, the low ammo and high recoil bring it down a notch. This is why the bar is to be used more like a SAW, its ment for more mobile firepower that can lock down corridors and yet still be on the move when needed too. Just the way I use it.
