In my headcanon for Magic of Pegasus, I like to believe that Annika ended up helping Aidan’s family with their debt (just whatever they lost, not necessarily any more than that), considering she’s a Princess, and Aidan is like “oh no, you don’t have to” and she’s like “you saved me and helped save the day. This is the LEAST I could do.” He doesn’t love her for her money or status (as established in the film, he would only take what he needed, not for greed), so the thought wouldn’t have occurred to him, and he’d be super grateful over her actions. I just love them both because they went through so much together and they love each other for who they are.

12 dancing princesses has ALWAYS been my favorite Barbie movie, and Genevieve and Derek are my favorite love story as well. I’ve always loved men who are good with kids and sacrificial, and Derek is also kind and humorous. Genevieve is spirited and selfless, always putting her sisters in front of her. yeah in the Diamond Castle the twins seemed very much like "well we need to have a Ken bc there is always a Ken and also some love interests bc a Barbie movie needs a love interest" and probably because back then it would be too revolutionary and polarizing for Mattell to have a gay couple becoming canon endgame. Bc I mean...the girls don't even get a def "together" moment with the guys? I mean they show up at their concert at the end but that's it? There is no double wedding or a kiss or any hand holding...none of the boys end up fighting for or saving the girls. They're just...there for a lot of the movie? When I look back, I pretty much forget about them...even as I'm watching the movie. Omg I can't believe I forgot how much I loved Genevieve and Derek as a kid. I rewatched the dancing scene where they float into the air countless times, dreaming up a fantasy of dancing with a gentleman myself one day. Both literally and figuratively a very magical scene. I will always have a soft spot for Rapunzel and Stefan though. It was the first Barbie movie I ever watched and will always hold a special place in my heart.
