Her saying “you don’t sound deaf” is wild His quick “you don’t look ignorant but you can’t judge a book I guess” comeback was amazing.
@RealElongatedMuskrat
@RealElongatedMuskrat 5 ай бұрын
would've been such a slam dunk if the actor was actually part of the deaf community and not a hearing guy playing a deaf part, but given the 2000s of it all I would've been more surprised if he actually was deaf 😅. Weirdly, even though "you don't sound deaf" is absolutely a crazy thing to say, the vocal tones and enunciations that are characteristic of some deaf people's speaking voice is actually called a deaf accent! Handy for anyone to know if they ever feel a bit unsure on how to go about mentioning that, because "deaf accent" is the actual name but it's sort of like the name "little people" I guess - if you don't know about the community's preferred language and you earnestly don't want to offend but you don't know the wording to use, it could sound offensive in your head but that's the actual name. lol.

As a disabled person, that comment was extremely accurate. I can't even count how many times I've had people tell me I don't look disabled. Even when I tell people I'm struggling, they'll be like "doesn't seem like you're struggling to me". Her saying "you don't sound deaf" was for real the most realistic part of that entire movie

@@aon02bisn't that the worst? Like...why tf would I put myself in the (wholly unenviable) position that I'm in as soon as I tell you about it, unless it were true? Invisible illness is real! "Girls and their satanic rituals" The funny thing is, it's for some reason awfully common for preteen girls to have like a... summoning demons and trying out witchcraft phase 😂😭 so this is spot on lmao. In primary school so many of my friends were just trying to summon bloody mary in the school bathroom and trying to get their hands on an ouija board. That shit was wild

In 3rd or 4th grade me and my friends convinced ourselves that there was a demon locked up behind the backdoor of the sports equipment room, and we'd sit outside the door everyday during recess trying to communicate with it. This was also the same year all the girls in our grade were spinning around in the school bathroom trying to summon Bloody Mary and Candyman. We were all suddenly really into the occult. The phase is very real lol

As a girl who loved Bratz growing up, I have decided that The Cheetah Girls is actually the best representation of live action Bratz dolls. A diverse group girls living in an urban setting who are tight knit due to their music group, but still have their own interests and backgrounds. Their differences/competing interests causes strife between them in organic ways (not like just choosing to sit at different lunch tables lol), but ultimately prioritize their friendship in the end. In the sequels, they have international adventures. The characters are pretty comparable to the Bratz: Galleria = Sasha, Dorinda = Chloe, Chanel = Yasmin, Aqua = Jade? (Aqua isn't Asian though, and she's the most underdeveloped character of the group, so she's kinda the odd one out.) Would be interesting to have had The Cheetah Girls (2003) vs. Life-Size (2000) - a fairer match up I think! Bratz live action should have been compared Life-Size 2 because that one is trash lol

as a Barbie girl from childhood to now, I am PRAYING for a new and/or “remake” of the Bratz live-action. Barbie was PHENOMENAL for what it was, imagine what we could have with BRATZ?! And to add: we NEED a better monster high live-action. I said what I said.

I've had this on my Watch Later list until I was able to watch the new Barbie movie first. I finally watched Barbie last night, come to watch this video, and get the M. Night Shyamalamadingdong twist of you not even reviewing Barbie but instead reviewing frickin Life-Size with Tyra Banks 😂 So turns out I didn't have to wait to watch this video. Life-Size was a movie I loved as a kid; the idea of big things/real things becoming miniature or vice versa has always been an interest of mine. I did also love the Bratz movie as a girl though, and I even have it on DVD still, so I don't appreciate the slander 😠 And Rainy Day by Janel Parrish was a banger.
